Liked: excellent location- right in the middle of the coolest area of the city. Late check out good for those late night parties! Quiet if you wanted to sleep. staff brilliant

Disliked: bit confusing to find as other numbers on same side of street are all odd and the directions don't tell you which side of the road to look.

Liked: Hostel is split into two parts - the part inside the main building is super - each room painted uniquely, night lights and shelves. Nicely tiled bathrooms and modern kitchen - just lovely! Common room is nice, with games and music. Kitchen facilities good, staff were GREAT!!

Disliked: BUT there is the other half of the hostel where people have to leave the building and walk around the corner and enter a different door, no lights on the beds, no shelves, bathroom is old and in need of repair. One toilet and two showers between 30 people. Toilet not only doesn't lock but does not even have a lock fitted on it! Toilet/shower room is unisex and it is quite difficult to shower or change without being caught starkers by some random person of the opposite sex - doesn't bother me but just thought it should be written on here. The lights in the room were so dimly lit and the room is under ground so it is impossible to see even in the day time. Muggers stand outside the door at night which is quite unsafe since there is only a key between them and your valuables. You feel very excluded in this side of the building since it is so far away from the common room. In fact I didn't even know that there was another side of the building past reception because it doesn't say 'kitchen this way' or anything. I was really shocked to see this side of the building because it was just so nice in comparison to where I was! So basically this hostel is exactly as it says on the site as long as you are not in the rooms I was in (30people rooms). Kind of torn - my stay was awesome but massively disappointed with the room - this needs to be changed really.

Liked: great common room and bar (with pool table) to meet travellers thats open 24 hours - also can smoke in there from 6pm - 4am. friendly staff. huge hostel so theres always people around. decent showers. location is good - lots of bars and restaurants on the same road. quite underground area with rock bars and alternative clothes stores but no nightclubs, though they're easy to get to. directly across from train station. internet is only 50cents for half hour and free wifi.

Disliked: no power points in the rooms so you have to charge everything in the common rooms. the beds are really squeaky and have no curtains for privacy. no night lights on the beds. 4 flights of stairs to get up to the rooms and no lift which is hard with heavy bags. laundry service is 7 euros which we thought was pretty steep.

Liked: Right next to the transport network which is incredibly simple to navigate, excellent atmosphere and helpful staff, plenty of bars and restaurants literally just round the corner! Rooms somewhat basic but fine if like us you'll be spending most of the time in the bar or exploring the city! Definitely reccomend.

Disliked: Nothing really

Liked: Location...

Disliked: People can smoke on lounge of hostel and its really really loud to sleep... Also they have absolutely NO control of who is sleeping where... In one night, 3 people slept (one after the other during the night) on the bed besides me....

Liked: Probably the best hostel I have stayed at, I was here with a big group of friends and we all loved it, relaxed atmosphere, great common areas and bar and the staff went above and beyond.

Liked: Kreuzberg is a cool area, great restaurants right next door, we didn't need to go anywhere else for food, there were also supermarkets nearby. Despite the huge amounts of noise from the bar, the rooms were pretty soundproof. Great kitchen and eating area! It was very chilled out, you could do whatever you wanted which was often good, but sometimes bad when others intentionally broke rules.

Disliked: Smell of smoke was HORRIBLE, although you are not allowed to smoke in the rooms or common area the smell from the bar carries throughout the whole hostel. Plus, staff did nothing to stop those who did smoke in the common room. The bathrooms were terrible, always dirty, often without toilet paper, and in one the floor was constantly covered with water, I saw the cleaners many times but have no idea what they actually did. To be fair, we stayed over new years eve so we had to pay a lot more than usual and for the price we paid at that time, it was not worth it. The safety deposit box is located under the bar, they only need a room number to access goods, don't ask for ID and everyone in the bar can hear what you asked for...so its not very secure.

Liked: Very good located, quite confortable place for enjoying fast visit arround the city. There ir lenty of good places for eat cheap quite close, and also an spanish supermarket very close :-P Very nice artistic decoration and designer.

Disliked: Nothing is perfect... but it is a good choise to think about.

Liked: Absolutely brilliant location in Kreuzberg with easy access to shoppping and nightlife. Great rooms and showers. Reception was great meeting place with fantastic atmosphere.

Disliked: The kitchen is missings some pots and pans!!!

Liked: The area is cool.

Disliked: I don't recommend the 32 person dorm, it was dirty, smelly and noisy. There were shards of glass in the floor and flushing the nearby toilet caused an infernal noise in the dormitory.
