Liked: Nice hostel - It was clean, trendy and grown up not some dirty cheap dump passing it off as cool and covering its walls with photos of people who 'love' the hostel. No-one loves a hostel. But Cityhostel Berlin was enjoyable and relaxed.

Disliked: do not underestimate how hot the bedrooms are. Got very little sleep at the hostel.

Disliked: It was so big that it wasn't easy to meet other people.

Liked: Very pleasant and helpful staff, high level of freedom around the property.

Disliked: I didn't like that they charged you a euro for extra towels. That would be fine if they'd wash and give back the one free towel but housekeeping never even entered our room. Also, while not really a complaint towards the hostel itself, the average age and general attitude of other visitors didn't match mine. At the time of visiting I was 22 years old, and when I travel I'm always looking for young, open and party-loving people. I met very few of these at this hostel, there was mostly younger and seemingly introverted locals as well as old couples.

Liked: It's near by almost every atraction.

Disliked: To have nice things to eat, you need to be at the restaurant at 7 or 8 afterwars there are not so much to eat.

Liked: Abundant breakfast :-)

Disliked: The rooms next to the lifts should definitely be cheaper as it can get really noisy there at nights. Something must be done about the roof over the main entrance. It looks disgusting, it is full of cigarette ends, empty bottles and so on, not to mention that some visitors seem to be having fun dropping bottles onto the roof in the middle of the night and the staff doesn't hear or doesn't want to hear that?

Liked: The rooms are really cool and bed is comfortable

Disliked: There is no locker facility available.You have to give your belongings at the counter.It is fairly impossible that you being new would trust anyone at the counter.

Liked: They have a game room and bar, and lots of other amenities on site, but I'd rather go out. Big breakfast that's sort of gross but free and more food than your average hostel. Sell snacks and other random things 24 hours.

Disliked: Bad location for nightlife, which is no good because the trains stop at like 1 or 2 am. It's super big, impersonal, and hard to meet people. They also charge by the half hour to use the computer, there's plenty of better hostels in cooler places that have free internet in Berlin.

Liked: The location was the best, you can walk to all the famous sites without the need to use local transport. It more looked like a hotel than a hostel! Great buffet breakfast. comfortable beds!

Disliked: no kitchen!! loud doors when they close!

Liked: Good clean hostel and helpful staff. Only downside is that the rooms get incredibly hot in the summer so it would be good to have a fan or air conditioning as it was nearly impossible to sleep in our room due to the excessive heat.

Disliked: Lack of air conditioning and fan. Not a great selection of food at breakfast.

Liked: Location is second to none!! Great place to stay if your traveling alone. The staff is very attentive and as helpful as they can be.

Disliked: The restrooms got a little dirty, but other than that the place was great!
