Liked: This hostel has thought of everything, each bed has a power point and light. there is a shielded light so that if you come in late you can turn it on and see without disturbing others. cool electronic lockers

Liked: I came here in November but if I was in Berlin in the summer, this is where I'd stay. They have a great outdoor patio and a second one out front as well. Definitely the place to stay when those are in use.

Disliked: It can be tricky to find.

Liked: It is in a good location very close to a subway station. It is cheap and clean and has friendly staff.

Liked: Rooms were very clean, separate shower and toilet area. The hostel is located close to transport and the park to the north is great on sunday afternoon as it contains markets, karaoke and people out to just have a good time.

Disliked: At the time of my stay there were groups of families with teenage kids so for someone traveling alone this wasn't ideal. Also the headphones for the computers didnt work and the staff didnt seem to care about this, considering they have skype on the computers working headphones are a must especially when they start putting on music loud in the common area.

Liked: this place is AMAZING! super friendly and easy-going staff, excellent facilities, beautiful rooms, all newly decorated, wooden floors, high ceilings, great atmosphere and character, great trip advice (TACHELES), food available, light and warm, nice neighborhood... and i got a free upgrade into a double, ha!! THANK YOU BIG BIG!

Liked: we loved Pfefferbett! it was the best hostel we've stayed at yet! great price, great atmosphere, the staff are friendly and helpful (even when hostelbookers screwed up our reservation) and very clean. the showers are so nice for a hostel and the beds are big with good sized lockers for your stuff! if I go back to Berlin I would stay here again in a heartbeat! even when hostelbookers messed up our reservation they gave us the first night free and two morning of breakfast for free! we had to change rooms but it was no big deal.

Liked: This place is really clean and people are very friendly ! Its quiet but you can also meet some nice people! And this hostel is really good located, just next to some cool bars to hang out !

Liked: The staff was very helpful and friendly. It looks really nice and at night you can have a good time having a beer and playing snooker.

Disliked: The keys to get in the room didn´t work all the times and we had to go down to the lobby and get another one.

Liked: I loved the atmosphere at the Pfefferbett! Right next to an U-Bahn station (on the main line I used while I was there; U2), but far enough off the street that it felt secluded. They had a lot of brochures for activities in the area, but most were very commercial (particularly the bar ads). A lot of coupons for museum tours, drinks, gifts, etc. They had sports equipment for rental (only a couple of € each). And you can rent a bike for 10€ a day (with a 50€ refunded deposit). I loved the full bar in the main lobby/living area. Not bad prices for beer either. The main room itself was very comfortable and welcoming. I loved hanging out there, just people watching. Just a reminder to new adventurers, don't buy a map. Go to the hostel first, they have a really nice map for free. (most do, I think)

Disliked: The bed assignment isn't strict, so your keyfob only dictates which locker you use. I stayed 2 nights, and the bed i thought I'd claimed got remade, and taken by someone else before i got back from my adventures for the day. I ended up staying in a bed that looked already slept in. Not a big deal, just something I noticed. I wasn't too thrilled with 5€ for an all-you-can-eat Breakfast buffet. Not a bad selection, Granola, breadrolls, coldcuts, spreads. But the milk tasted funny (might have been H-Milk), and the amount I ate was not even close to getting my moneys worth. The second morning I ordered the scrambled eggs (i think 3 or 4€), which was a better value for my money, and a bit more satisfying.

Liked: Good location, lots of staff willing to help and running the place professionally.

Disliked: The size of the hostel makes it harder to make friends for solo travellers as groups tend to stick together, but you get that in any big hostel. No real dislikes

Liked: This is by far the best hostel we have stayed in in the 2 years we have been travelling for. It is so much more then I thought possible for a hostel. All you can eat breakfast, comfortable beds and a wonderful clean set up. Would live there if we could

Liked: The value for money was really good. The selection at the bar was great. About 15 minutes walking distance from Aleksanderplatz (or 2 stops by metro), getting you anywhere in no time. The location in the little courtyard was really chilled out as well. Staff was really helpful and generally nice! Definitely coming back here!

Disliked: We were a bit unlucky that we had to change our rooms twice during our stay. It wasn't really the hostel's fault, nor did we mind (it made us get up early) that much. Not having a kitchen wasn't a big problem, since you can eat out very cheaply in Berlin anyway. The top bunk beds were a bit hard to climb in to. Might just have been me though ;D

Liked: i loved the lounge area, good tasty breakfasts, good solid beds

Disliked: you can`t feel safe there somebody has stolen my mobile phone from closed locker - and staff didin`t seem to care dorms are too small

Liked: The Hostel is by far the best one I have stayed in. It was better than a lot of hotels I have stayed in. It looks great and the all the facilities, rooms, bathroom etc were excellent.

Disliked: Really cannot fault it at all.
