Liked: The hostel was close to everything. It was so clean and the staff was really helpfull and friendly. I stayed there for 6 nights and every day they cleaned up the room. Also the snack and bar was great. Only bad thing was the brealfast. I dont think it was worth 5 euro... there should be some fresh fruit and something fresh asnd also dark bread.

Liked: it's REALLY next to the train station. very friendly staff. nice lobby area with a bar, pool table, computers, and lounging area. decent and clean room. good value for money. great location for west berlin.

Liked: I liked very much this hostel! had to telle to you:I am not yet so good to use internet of this hostel! Well, I ask and a young worker at desk on the 25th of may at mornig said: "there is machine ,set money in" I did but I could to use riht because there was/is no clear/fair explanation, how had to use. Si I lost 2 euros. I said t this worker and she then gave me receipt of one paid euro and say with this to intenert. But there was not too, no explation/inforamtion written, how I had to use. I had to again ask her help! She eas normal,but not so friendly: I saw, she thought sure: "oh old man doesnt know anything!"Then I was able to work with Intenert. As I finished I went back to desk and ask friendly her and other work )man, "Do you know, how does the stemalokomtive run backward without any wheels?! The car has many wheels! They filled me surprised I told then how works, and so simply. And I said to them its so simply as to you the computer. Then I still asked them,"do you know how will the abac to use?! I can do and it is used still in Russia. It is the first computer of the world!" There looked me only! So I say in Finland and other countries to young poeple-they are so supercilious,if we older poeple can not use intenet and computer. Every place has own system. I was one day before in Berlin-Ostbahnhof at Intenert-Cafe,they were so good explicit use instructionsALSO: I travel very much, so I know, that overall in hostels please write explicit use instructions! Thank you!I travelled from Berlin on to Warsaw, Kaunas Lithuen, Rigas Latvien and Tallinn this time.Tickets and overnight places I booked overr Intenert! So I am not so stupid! Anyway my best regards to Staff in Berlin-A & O Hostel!with best regards from Finlandarnold reijonen

Liked: Spacious, good wifi, excellent location, user-friendly, professional staff, private single en suite at competitive price.On the negative side: too much smoke in the common lounge even in 'non smoker' corner, lack of fresh fruits and juices for breakfast or at the bar (even though freshly squeezed juices are advertised at the bar)
