Liked: -Good entertainment facilities -Formality

Disliked: -No sheets,towels -At least breakfast had to be included to the charge -Bathroom doors not available !

Liked: Lots of activities on offer with nice garden and good bar.

Disliked: The dorm rooms weren't kept very clean.

Disliked: This can be a very frustrating place to stay as everything costs extra and not many things work.

Liked: Just location

Disliked: Many things... I have to pay for many services that was unfair: LINNEN, TOWELS, WI-FI!!! (the worst!). The room on a 4th floor without elevator, just amazing. And of course, nobody helps you wiht your luggage. Other thing, just one plug to switch all your stuffs in a room per 6 persons!! A kind of camping...

Liked: Cheapest bed in Berlin, and in a good neighbourhood for cheap food and drink.

Disliked: The Ryanair of hostels! The bed itself was cheap but every possible extra was charged for - linen, internet, breakfast. The showers were very "institutional" - a bit rubbish. The bar was more expensive than the one just round the corner (which also had free internet...). Also, the place was full of school trips.

Liked: I enjoyed the area this hostel was in very much.

Disliked: I disliked how impersonal the hostel was. It could house several hundred people and there was no sense of character about the place. I also disliked how everything extra cost money, sheets, food (there was no kitchen space to use at all) drinks and laundry were overpriced.

Liked: I liked an atmosphere there - many young people at one place, most of them only travelling through Europe and enjoying their life :)

Disliked: I did not like that internet was not free of charge. Also when I bought a half-hour admission to the internet, the connectivity was very unstable and I had to wait sometimes more than 5 minutes to proceed to some website.

Liked: good location (S-Bahn and partylocations), breakfast great!!, Café very recommendable (try the hot chocolate!!!!!)

Disliked: anoying showers, transperant showerdoors (but in general you can take a shower without big problems)

Liked: You felt very secure, the communual areas were nice, it was nice to be close to a train station

Disliked: That there was no lift even though some of the dorms are up four floors of three sets of stairs!

Liked: Cheapish...except you have to pay for towels etc..

Disliked: You have to pay to pay for linen, towels, breakfast and internet on arrival. Good for school groups but not very friendly atmosphere for meeting people travelling.

Liked: Great area!For beeing a hostel it was not to big, all necesseties available.

Disliked: A bit to noisy. Slamming doors all night, the hostel should install door stoppers, that would help a lot. Squirky beds.

Liked: This hostel is very good. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Shower and toilet was okay. It,s not in center of Berlin, but about 5min walk from train station. I think is the very good hostel if you want to stay one or even more time in berlin. Next time i will choose this hostel to stay for night.

Liked: The place was clean, quite roomy, and generally a nice place. It also had a bar, which made it good for meeting people. Location was decent... a bit away from the touristy stuff, but still on the main train line. The art on the wall was neat.

Liked: The A&O Hostel in Friedrichshain was in an excellent location for getting all varieties of food and finding nice bars at great prices. It's very reasonably priced and generally quite clean. The lounge in the check-in building was definitely among the nicest hostel lounges I've seen during my stay in Europe.

Liked: I stayed in a private room so my experience may differ from those in shared rooms. My room and ensuite bathroom were both very clean. The room itself was larger and more accomodating than most private rooms in other hostels which barely give you any space to stand. I had a night stand, closet and a table to sit at which is more than I ever got before in a hostel. The food in this area was delicious and cheaper than anyplace else. I ate at that mavra pizza place too many times to count.I loved my stay. Thanks A&O

Liked: It's a very big place so there's lots of different people. It's great that they have a bar so we can meet up and have a drink . It's not in the cener, but the location is excellent (bars, restaurants, supermarkt, clubs nearby) and transport is very easy.
