Liked: The room was big and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was also really good. Is in a great location near some fantastic artist squats.

Disliked: The only thing really was that there was no lock on the shower door in the larger rooms, with one of the showers in the girls actually being two. I was told there was no lock for safety reasons but when we stayed an extra night in a better room there were locks on the doors. Wasn't too chuffed about about the idea of sharing the shower tbh.

Liked: Perfect location. The staff was ok. Really nice breakfast.The bathrooms are good. All in all the place is really good.

Disliked: It is a mystery why for 4 days no one cleaned our dorm room and was obvious it hasn't been cleaned even long before that, and didn't even tidy the beds after 3 people left.

Liked: Great staff, close to S-bahn station, free fresh towels at any time, if you stay for 3 nights you get a great free breakfast. Highly recommended.

Liked: The Heart Of Gold had a great atmosphere and all the facilities you needed. The 6-bed dorms were comfortable and each had different themes. Along each corridor, there were plenty of showers, which were cleaned every day. Internet was good value for money and breakfast was included if you stayed 4/5 nights. Staff on reception were very friendly (especially Peter) and the bar was open 24/7 and reasonably priced. Outside, there was a beer garden, which was fantastic for meeting new people and chilling. The hostel was located just outside the main stretch in Berlin and was only 5 minutes walk from the train station. A fabulous hostel to stay in and would definitely recommend it.

Disliked: Some of the beds were a little bit saggy but the sheets and bed linen were free. Expect the unexpected when sharing a dorm!

Liked: Bar! Internet access! Great location.

Disliked: One of the janitors or maintenance people of the building (not the hostel staff) stole my camera. I saw him do it and he wouldn't give it back. He was in his 40's, always wearing only black, had long hair, but was balding on top.

Liked: The staff was friendly and helpful and the bar in the hostel was good too.

Disliked: Sometimes it was a little too loud and some of the girls' showers on the 2nd floor were clogged.

Disliked: toilet isn't clean enough and the number isn't enough too. it's noisy at midnight.

Liked: The place is really nice and very confortable. There is a large choice for the breakfast.ON top of that, the staff is really helpful, they always gave us very good tips!IN a conclusion, it is a very good place to stay in Berlin!

Liked: Great atmosphere, really easy to meet fellow travellers. The staff are really nice and helpful. Clean and Alexanderplatz is only about a 10 minute walk away

Disliked: It was frick'n cold... in the rooms, finally I bailed on it and went else where.... you can't check in until 2 pm, that sucked! Big TIme!

Liked: The rooms are nothing special, just nice and clean.The rest of the hostel has a great atmosphere. In the evening it is very nice to sit outside and have a few drinks with some other back packers.The breakfast is good and has a wide variety.

Liked: I liked the common room area, the bar and the outside area are great for meeting people. They were helpful in letting us know what to do in Berlin. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were spacious (6 bed dorm)

Disliked: The lights in the dorm were very poor, you couldnt see in the evening. The curtains didnt cover the windows properly either.

Liked: It was central, good location and a great price.

Disliked: We were overlooking the courtyard, and other guests who were using it were very loud until very klate (the early hours!). As it was incredibly hot, it was imp[ossible to close the window to block out the sound - they should really have moved the guests inside after 11:30.
