Liked: close to Mauerpark, 2 Internet terminals, cozy lobby area, free German newspapers, numerous supermarkets nearby

Disliked: no Internet connection in room, received numerous bug bites during stay, although it is unclear whether it was caused by the sheets/bed as nothing happened to the people I was travelling with carpets in hallway should be removed as they clearly have not been washed in a long time and are not necessary toilets smelled strongly of disinfectant and at times toilet paper was not promptly replaced/stolen by other guests hallways dark, impractical to get to rooms on upper floors (lift to 2nd floor, then stairs, then door code to rooms) no toilet in lobby area, bags put next to reception desk, not in secure room no city maps readily available to guests, Internet connection extremely slow on public terminals, loud music at night playing from speakers next to public terminals Google Maps lists incorrect location if one only uses the street address (Brunnenstraße 70) to search with the postcode, off by 1.2km. Please fix.

Liked: that it was very cheep

Disliked: The owner is a terrible man.. I had to stay one night in the lobby because I had an early flight and no more money to pay for one more night at the hostel , so I fall a sleep on the couch and they like literally threw me out side (by the way it was raining that night) , Also they didn't have lockers and there is only a code to a floor and a door ( I can just walk into a room without having to be checked in if I have the code !)

Liked: Lucky enough in the common room there was almost nobody. Otherwise can be a nightmare so many beds are in that room.

Disliked: I was there a couple of years ago, and never went back. I thought they improved the property by the time: No! Not a clue of maintainance at all, filthy carpets, forgotten Junk cars on the courtyard in front of the ground-floor window. Cheapest broken beds and mattresses (missing wooden planks underneath the mattress). No space to lay the own baggage. Only if you are really broken and misanthrop, but then you must be consistent and don´t drink a beer.

Liked: That it was close to a metro and a supermarket

Disliked: Most things. The wifi was very hard to innitially connect to and the computer they have were so slow that you might as well of walked a mile down the road to find an internet cafe and by the time youd found it, only then would the computer of loaded up the page you wanted. There was no space for people to really socailise apart from reception. We had to buy water from the supermarket everyday as there was no taps that you could use to drink from. There was no kitchen space incase you wanted to make food.

Liked: It was quite easy to find and it was quite central

Disliked: It felt like a prison, it had no bedside lamps and no curtains to make the room dark. There was no specific lady shower and it was quite noisy in the night. They should have had some drinks and light snacks for sale in reception. I also got bitten by bed bugs which travelled back with me and cost me a fortune to get rid of in my flat back home in sweden

Liked: Staff were relaed, said we could stay as long as we liked on the last day

Disliked: I hate to be a complainer, but there were so many bedbugs it was foul. And the bathrooms were foul. And the door didn't work so we had to climb into a window to get in..

Liked: NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No joke seriously NOTHING!!!

Disliked: It was overpriced! The breakfast was also overpriced 4€ for cereal and bread is ridiculous! Everthing felt really unclean and dirty, also some of the beds were falling apart! The place smelled bad, the toilets were gross and the showers were cold! There is also NO kitchen this is bad for backpackers. The owner was a total fake!

Liked: Free internet? (but only in the reception)

Disliked: Dirty showers, Messy rooms, 2cm thick mattress, laberinth to get to the roo, i had to walk other travelers to their room, because it was hard for the staff to explain how to get there from the reception. (actually that was fun)

Liked: location: not far to the center, some parks in the area, room was private, big and clean, wifi in the reception

Disliked: the place is rundown, smelly and untidy, has moldy showers, bright light came through the window at night, for breakfast we got only the cheapest rolls, marmelade, cheese... - not a place to feel comfortable

Liked: the room was large - this property may be fine for very young budget concious travellers, but not for a couple that has expectations of a clean secure stay

Disliked: no security whatever, had to go down a dark alleyway to get into building. not in the better part of town, room was noisy, halls dark and dingy

Liked: cheap

Disliked: Unfriendly and confusing staff. At the time we visited the hostel a bunge of young people were partying and knocking at doors in the night. Pretty annoying and the staff should have kicked them out.
