Liked: Very good place few steps from centrum! Very good staf! Now is in street reconstruction of old hospital, work started at 8 o'clock... And only one pool... Hi and thnx for staf!

Liked: Had an absolute ball while staying at Bax Pax Downtown, we stayed in the 30 bed dorm which I was quite anxious about and it was awesome. All the backpackers were extremely friendly with the bar set up at the hostel we were all able mingle at night. A massive plus was the fantastic and fun staff at Bax Pax, they were great.

Liked: (based on the 30 beds room) Wont recommend it, unless you really really want to save money. BAD POINTS:the layout is very weird (shower rooms inside the bedroom and toilets in a separate room) so try to bing a small plastic bag to store your clothes when you take a bath (they dont have where to hang the bag neither) and you have to make your own bed (literally). The oranienburgerstr. is filled with (very friendly) hookers after 9pm (NOTE: i'm not complaining =P), but may be annoying for someone else. GOOD POINTS: the bar, the lobby, nice staff (please say hi to Hanna <3) the location (10mins walking to museum island/unten den linden, alexander platz) and very clean facilities.

Liked: There were two guys on the night shift in the reception that were very helpful but the rest of the staff was not that nice. It's not that close from the touristic center but it has Tram and Train pretty near

Liked: Near Friedrichstraße and Oranienburger Tor station, just a few minutes from the Bradenburg Gate.in a cozy and friendly enviroment which you get value for your money!

Liked: Perfect location, clean modern room, very friendly staff.Nice bar with perfect Pina Colada just for 4.50 euro.Breakfast was also good (5.50 euro)What seemed a bit strange is a separate toilet room next to the room's door. However each room has its own toilet, so it's not shared.Shower and sink are accessed from the room.Second strange thing is that you have to push the button every minute to keep water go from the shower.In summary, very nice place to stay.We'll gladly come there again.

Liked: I stayed in a 5 bed mixed dorm ensuite. I went with 2 other friends and we enjoyed the room and facilities. It's a very nice hostel with hotel qualities. However, there were no lockers in the room which I didn't like so I was forced to carry my belongings on me at all times. Besides that it was great. This place is really nice for the cheap rates. The location is also pretty great. You're about a block or two from the S-Bahn. We walked everywhere though and they were very friendly!

Liked: The staff is multilingual, energetic, resourceful, patient and kind. One nice woman circled all of the Christmas market locations for me on the map. Another young man made me a delicious hot chocolate. I liked the breakfast, the sitting area, the internet area and the pool table. Without closets in the room, I had to borrow a locker in the basement which was a little inconvenient. The public phone was also in a weird spot. The biggest concern with recommending the hostel is its odd location. It's near the U- and S-Bahns for Friedrichstrasse but it's not the most exciting neighborhood for young people.

Liked: Everything costs here, linens, breakfast, internet...everything...it's the most rediculous hostel I've even seen...not even offering hand soap in the toiletStaff is generally fine, only one female staff (who I should have asked her name but I didn't) was very helpful and always smiles and greets at people, others weren't as friendly as she was

Liked: Right in the centre of the action, close to walk to all the major sights. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Rooms were always clean and the bathroom clean as well. Good that you dont have to pay for lockers to store your luggage. Bar always has activities planned, food is good and so are the drinks. Disadvantage was that my room had an all-in-one bathroom and toilet so if you needed to go to the toilet yhou had to go downstairs if someone was having a shower.

Liked: GOOD POINTS- Nice breakfast however it's not included in the room rate- Excellent location, easy to walk to train stations and major Berlin sitesBAD POINTS- There is a stupid water system in the shower - you actually need to keep pressing the button every 30 seconds otherwise the water turns off- There is a stupid sensor that activates the light in the bathroom. It is very temperamental. One night the light stayed on for an hour while I was in bed. Several times the lights turned off when I was on the toilet!- The provided WIFI is very expensive and I didn't get much reception in my room- Our experience with the front desk staff was mixed - at one stage the girl at the counter actually screamed at my partner after being asked a simple question about using the internet (happy to provide date & time to management)- There is an onsite nightclub / bar for guest and also the public. The music is very loud and on at least 1 occasion was going until at least 5am.- We had unpleasant drunks (not guests of the hotel) banging on our door at 4am (we had a private room). Obviously this is not great and it seemed that anybody in the nightclub / bar could just walk around the hotel too.- The room was freezing - We found the room to be very cold and asked why the heating wasn't working - we were told that the heating is not allowed to be turned on until November. It was ridiculous to be sitting in our room with ski jackets and beanies on.- Rooms are very basic - not even cups in the rooms. Had to beg for one from the bar so I could have a glass of water.

Liked: One issue with this hostel, had to change rooms in the middle of my stay and was separated from my friends. May seem ok, but not if you have to check-out by 10am and can't check-in until 3pm. Heard a couple of other people had the same issue. Otherwise, lovely place to stay: clean, good atmosphere
