Liked: The staff is very friendly and helpful. For one of the cheapest hostels in Berlin, I was very impressed by the quality. I will absolutely be staying here again.

Liked: cool hostel! its a little out of the centre but easily accessable with metro or s-bahn. has loads of bars and restuarants nearby even though its not in the centre. would stay there again

Liked: A cheap choice, with very good breakfast (€3,00) and good rooms. I was lucky the hostel was empty because they only had two bathrooms for each floor. The kitchen had a lot of facilities, but it seems that no one cleans it. The hostel didn´t have a bad location, but there are more central and cheap hostels that I would recommend.

Liked: I liked the atmosphere and the people who are working there, but there were some things i didn´t enjoy so much. for example the internet costs quite much, bathrooms were a little bit too dirty.

Liked: I made a specific point to return to this site and comment on the Sunflower after my trip around Europe. This was the one and only hostel during a 4 week trip which I found unsatisfactory. The staff was horrid, indifferent and completely unorganized (and not in the charming, spaced out hostel way). The rooms were dank and dungeon-like. They were dirty. The hostel was somewhat close to the metro stop but the neighborhood was run down and atrocious. The Sunflower was the only hostel where I left after the first night and stayed elsewhere. My alternative arrangements were comparable in price and FAR exceeded what I received at the Sunflower.

Liked: Great location. The staff is very relaxed, friendly and quite helpful. Loud however. Difficult to get any rest before 2am. Lots of young kids. So, in general, a mixed bag.

Liked: great location, friendly people but not the cleanest hostel we've stayed in. We were there for 6 nights and the room was cleaned maybe twice at most in that time. Nonetheless it was good accommodation, nothing to rave about but not much to complain about either.

Liked: One of the best hostels I've ever found (and I've seen sooo many). Atmosphere, character, location... all that you need. Just 10 minuts by S-Bahn to Alexanderplatz, close to Ostbahnhof (directly connected to Schonefeld). Bar 24 hours open. Each apartement (in which there are 4 or 5 rooms) had its own bathroom and kitchen.I don't know what else anyone could desire.

Liked: Very unsafe. Anyone can walk into your room as the doors are never locked and the receptionist lets anyone through without checking your card.The room were not clean, and the showers were dirty. Windows had to be open at night because there is no air con/ fan, and it was very noisy outside.

Liked: 24 hour bar with friendly and helpful staff serving cheap beer! I loved staying at Sunlfower hotel, would definitely reccomend it. Nice and clean, good location, I would reccomend anyone that stays here to do the Alternative Berlin tour which meets in the reception.
