Liked: It was easy to find and we were well accommodated. The breakfast was wonderful and we liked the hang out space that was provided. The staff were very helpful and they gave us lots of advice and directions.

Disliked: The WiFi was not the greatest and you had to get a password and login every time you wanted to you it. Also, if you wanted to use their computers you had to pay a fee. So if you don't have your laptop or iPhone/iPod you are paying for it.

Liked: The only hostel in my entire trip that had free breakfast and no linen charge-on the downside no self-catering facilties. Good value for money. Location good for the airport-quite far away from the centre but same for most hostels in Berlin I think and very easy to get anywhere by tram or train.

Disliked: Lots of school groups and teenagers. Quite noisy.

Liked: very cheap bar and good breakfast.nice space in rooms.the staff were very friendly and their english was excellent..

Disliked: just the location a bit found it hard to find nightlife,and the showers would be better with doors on,or a door to enter the showers.

Liked: I am very satisfied with price for ensuit twin room. One of the best choices in Berlin.

Disliked: It is little bit far form downtown, but acceptable.

Liked: Very close to S-Bahn station direct to Schonfeld airport in 30mins! (As well as easy to get into Berlin city centre)

Disliked: The internet was very temperamental. We booked about 2 and a half months in advance and noticed prices were a lot lower the night before!

Liked: Best breakfast in any hostel I've ever been in. Bar with pretty cheap beer, huge common area, lots of bathrooms. Not a bad hostel at all.

Disliked: This is a YOUTH hostel. Most of the people are below the age of 20.

Liked: Good value for money. If you don't mind the size of the hostel (its huge), its a good place to be.

Disliked: Nothing worth mentioning.

Liked: Adjacent to the S Bahn ring and Airport routes, which made travel to and from places of interest rather easy and cheap. The bar was cheap as chips, and was well stocked with many themed nights and things to do. The staff were immensely helpful by ordering us a taxi or two and did everything possible to facilitate us. The place is always clean- cleaners work tirelessly most of the day and night to ensure that the place is spotless.

Disliked: The breakfast wasn't great but what can you expect from a place that is so cheap- to be honest there was little I could dislike and this is really something and nothing. If you do it right, and you're an early bird, make your way into the centre of Berlin for breakfast in one of the many delicious eateries. The Crepe hut behind the Hollocaust Memorial is great way to start the day.

Liked: The hostel definitely had a "hotel" vibe, so it was a bit different than the down-homey hostels I was used to, but this also meant that it was modern, clean, and had great amenities--free wifi in common areas (even if it did mess up sometimes), movie nights, decent free breakfast, nice & cheap hostel bar. You can meet people in the bar area and sometimes in the common room, but it's also possible to just stick to yourself if you're more of a lone wolf type. Sometimes I even found my room/floor creepily empty--albeit, it was off-season. Overall, I had a really good stay.

Disliked: They accidentally put me in a mixed room the first night, when I had requested a females-only room, but they rectified it the next morning without any fuss. I guess the only annoying thing was the distance you had to travel to get into the city centre (about 15 mins), but I got the impression that's how it was with 99% of hostels in Berlin, and since Generator was so cheap, it was well worth it.

Liked: it is perfect for young people or for travelers that want party and fun... not ideal to relax or go with your partner... lots of party, drinks and young people! good values and great crew (multilanguage speaks and very helpfuly)!

Disliked: the room cleaner (house cleaning) staff simply enter in your room, with a very fast advice! you could be naked!
