Liked: This place was excellent for meeting people and attracting a great crowd! I felt really comfortable and safe all the time, and enjoyed having a bathroom in the room itself! The front desk is open 24 hours a day, so if you ever needed anything at 3 am you know you can find help. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The location was fabulous; there's a train station just out the front, oh and I was always within minutes from the best nutella crepes in Paris!

Disliked: Because It was open 24 hours...some times people would get pretty loud and obnoxious in the hall way...but it goes part in parcel with staying at a hostel so I just brushed it off most nights! The common area is very small and often crowded with no air conditioning...that was a tad uncomfortable.

Liked: I was a little worried about the location before we arrived, but Montemarte turned out to be pretty sweet. The hostel easy walking distance from Gare de Nord, and its a pretty funky neighborhood...totally different from the rest of Paris! My friend and I both liked it, and I think its probably a cheaper area to stay and eat, in general. Book ahead, it fills up fast! The hostel was a cool building, and it felt pretty secure. Breakfast was free (yay!) but nothing to write home about, and internet was reasonable.

Disliked: There are only 2 computers available, and not much room to sit if you just want Wi-Fi. The rooms were really hot, and if you open the windows (necessary) you can hear EVERYONE else in the building. Earplugs will save your life. They saved mine.

Liked: The location and value for money. Helpful friendly staff.

Disliked: Was a little noisy at night and could do with a lick of paint other than that i didn't really dislike anything.

Liked: Breakfast was included and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Showers were disgusting (didnt look like they were regularly cleaned). Door to our room squeaked every time you opened it. Double bed was tiny and extremely uncomfortable. Sound carried through the walls and we were kept awake by girls talking in the next room.

Liked: Just great!! Rooms clean, staff very helpful, great location. I was travelling with my 3 kids and it was really fantastic.

Liked: The location in Montmartre right by the Anvers Metro station is unbeatable. So is the view of Sacré-Coeur (if your room is towards the street and above the 3rd floor). For an expensive city like Paris, the price is very reasonable. It allows you to spend that money elsewhere, for example at any of the many excellent bistros and restaurants in Paris.

Disliked: Oddly, there was not a single hook or coat hanger in our room, leaving us with no other option than piling our stuff on top of our bags. This could easily be improved.

Liked: I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and facilities in the room. The location is excellent and the window in my room opened out onto a nice little balcony overlooking a very cute french street. Very pleasant.

Disliked: I am struggling for something to complain about. Well, the reception area was too warm. Oh and the hose to the shower head was a bit torn, but I managed ok in the right position. That's all!

Liked: The location was an amazing choice for our exploration of Paris. Loved being in Montmartre, right down the street from Le Moulin Rouge!

Disliked: Wireless service was intermittent, a bit undependable. Worked sufficiently well for our needs most of the time, however.

Liked: Location. Also, the room (with 3 other people) I stayed has own bath room, and I liked it because it was convenient and clean.

Disliked: No complaint about the property, however, it would be nice if this hostel has a social gathering event, even just having a light drink and snack in the big kitchen table, so people have opportunities to make friends.

Liked: The location was great, right next to the subway which meant easy access to everywhere. There were also plenty of restaurants close by and late night shops. The rooms were clean, and big enough for what you needed them for... all in all a great stay and trip

Disliked: The Breakfast room/communial area was tiny and not much room.

Liked: The staff at the Regent are super friendly and helpful. The common room is well laid out and a nice setting to sit back a surf the net, chat, play fuseball. Rooms are clean, quite and have ensuites. And there a metro stop 30 seconds walk. There's also a lot of little bars and restaurants in the streets close by. Great place to stay.

Disliked: It was situated on the same street as the Moulin Rogue and other strip bars which meant that you couldn't walk 50 meters without some seedy looking guy coming out of the shadows asking "You wanna see a live show?" However this is a small price to pay.
