Liked: I'm answering this for the first night I stayed (separate booking) in room no.2. I'll do another one when I've stayed another 2 nights in case things change. First impressions!! Easy enough to get to, directions on their page were clear. Kitchen was equipped enough for cooking and eating in the respect that their were pans, crockery, kettle, hobs & a microwave. Staff were friendly enough - didn't ask enough questions to get a better idea of their knowledge. Free breakfast was tasty [though the lady serving it was slightly rude]. Continental and very filling. Luggage room is free and there's lockers which you pay 50c deposit for which is great for during the day on while you sleep. Secure. Free wifi was brilliant - not many hostels give you codes for a full 24 hours so that you don't need to keep asking. And it was a great reception! Free maps. Location was good in terms of Montmatre, but a lot of metro changes were needed to get in to the 'centre'. Depends where you're headed to for whether you think it's a good location but I found it easy enough to get to.

Disliked: They say redesigned and comfortable lobby. There were only a few tables and chairs, and it was freezing - no heaters. It leads in to the 'kitchen' which when the hostel is busy, is not a nice comfortable place to be. The only radiator in there is hidden in the corner, and every time someone leaves the 'kitchen' they don't understand that the handle needs to go up so the door stays open. Maybe there should be a sign... Or actually locked seeing as though there is another door right next to it on the other side of the wall also leading to the kitchen. Kitchen itself had no oven, had no workspace to prepare food and people constantly left dishes in the sink without cleaning up and there was no room to work around the mess. There were hardly any tables and chairs which didn't help when it was busy. So, why was the downstairs breakfast area not open on an evening/during the day? It probably would've been warmer, cosier to chat in, and more room to sit & relax! The showers & toilets were outside of the room I was in (no.2) which was not nice at -3˚c. Shower button had to keep being pressed (not letting it go off) otherwise it would come back on freezing cold. There wasn't really any room to move. And I'm not sure how often they were cleaned, but they and the toilets were clean enough. bedding was also free but even with the heating on, I had to use my own sleeping bag as the cotton sheet & blanket that were provided (no duvet) just wasn't warm enough. And no ventilation in the room so with 5 sweaty drunk guys and heating, it just wasn't very fresh in the morning... Not that it was really the hostel's fault, but the guys in my room started packing to leave at 4am, switching on lights and shouting then laughed when I asked them to whisper! It's not a reflection on the hostel, but it does disrupt your sleep.

Liked: The Hostel is pretty close to Sacre Coeur, which I loved. So the area is really nice. The breakfast is very tasty and the staff is always willing to help.

Disliked: There is no hot water in the morning. It was kind of rough to take a shower but at least there is no way of not being awake after :).

Liked: Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean linen and warm rooms. Very handy having a self-help dining area to cook your own food. Breakfast was very good with plenty to eat with a variety of cereal, coffee/tea, juice, cereal, croisants. Highly recommend the place.

Disliked: Shower was not too warm and this was in the middle of February cold spell

Liked: Beds were comfortable, included breakfast and wifi was good, room was very warm.

Disliked: Shower was terrible, you had to keep pushing in the button every 5 seconds and the jet was at an akward angle that you couldn't change. Also, there was no elevator so I got very fit walking up and down from the 4th floor all the time.

Liked: Nice, clean, safe rooms. Free lockers for valuables. Helpful staff. Well equipped kitchen and fabulous filling breakfast. Very close to metro station.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: Le Montclair Montmartre was in a great location, almost right around the corner from the metro line. Everything was very clean and the hostel had a great communal area.

Disliked: The only thing I didnt like about the room I stayed in was the lack of lockers, and that there was not really enough room to put bags or luggage on the floor.

Liked: It was clean, comfortable, warm and very close to the metro. In a nice area. Good facilities. I like the fact that there are 3 bed dorms.

Disliked: Toilets smell bad but that might be a Paris thing..

Liked: The property was well geared for young travellers, a funky interior and the rooms were practical and comfortable. The breakfast was all it needed to be. staff were helpful, room was always warm although there was a knack to keeping the water in the shower warm.

Disliked: Just the shower. But to have access to a bathroom that I could lock and only shared with two other people, one being the friend I was travelling with, it didn't matter too much that the water was only just warm, sometimes.

Liked: no curfew at all, total freedom in the hostel, everyone who stayed here are friendly. i end up staying for more days and cancelled my other Youth hostel because the staffs there are so rude

Disliked: no lift, had to carry the baggage all the way to the 3rd floor

Liked: It is a nice hostel located in a bit north of the town. Nice staff, good atomsphere. it has shower room inside the room which is quite good. Free breakfast is also very tasty

Liked: Safe location, very close to the metro, good common area, friendly and helpful staff who spoke various languages, good heating, good breakfast, comfortable bed, not too noisy.

Disliked: Showers are terrible. They are opperated by pushing a button and the water comes out for about 15seconds then you have to push the button again. Water was always cold or barely warm enough to stand under. I don't reccomend this hostel if you like to be clean!

Liked: Helpful staff and neat rooms. Situated very close to metro, though a little away from the major tourist attractions.

Disliked: No closet in the room, very bad internet connectivity in rooms.

Liked: Big rooms. Very friendly and sociable atmosphere. Excellent free breakfast. Friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Disliked: Very very bad showers. No lockers in the room (do have a luggage storage room though). Not clean, rooms and kitchen quite dirty and bed had fleas, bedbugs or something in, got very badly bitten.

Liked: I extremely liked the atmosphere of Le Montclair. The people who stayed here are friendly and it's great to meet new friends who are all on the same wavelength and travelling "backpacker style" like me! The personnels at the front counter was extremely helpful and very knowledgable. They were actually putting themselves in my shoes as they know what's the best offer and ways to also save money during my short stay. I actually extended my stay for another night. The room is not too big nor too small and it fits just nice! I'll definitely recommend this place to my colleagues/friends who intend to visit paris! Keep it up people!

Disliked: It is really up to each other's preferences but for those who don't sleep well with noises, maybe you should opt for upper floors. But if you're one of those who sleep like a pig... that wouldn't be a problem! =)
