Liked: The guys working the desk were really nice and helpful. The place was fairly clean. Breakfast was good.

Disliked: No elevators and I was on the 6th floor. The showers and bathrooms were really small. There was no hot water when I showered.

Liked: Nice walls in the common area that you can write/draw on!

Disliked: At least in the room that we've got on the 1st floor it was noisy (all night long) because of the people in the common room/kitchen. Quite small showers and narrow entrance to the WC... I wonder how 'bigger' people feel about it.

Liked: At least we had where to sleep..

Disliked: We had a private twin room, but without shower and WC. The shower we had to use was in another bulding.. and don't know why they call it shower =(

Liked: The location is ideal for those desperate to live among the village of Montmartre.

Disliked: I have stayed in some rough hostels in my time but this was particularly bad- I suppose because it has the cheek to charge a high rate for what was essentially a building site, the 24 hour element leads the way for very audible pillow talk in the hallway at 6am but not to worry the friendly smile of one of the builders will peek through the tarpaulin covered window to wake you each morning. We stayed on the unfinished side of the hostel which had a pipe missing from the filthy shower unit complete with broken door. There was exposed rotten floorboards in the hall. Not that the other side looked much better...what do they say about polishing faeces?

Liked: we booked a 4 bed dorm which meant that we had our own ensuite and could leave our belongings in the room. staff were polite and helpful. the hostel was reasonably quiet. really near the metro which was awesome for getting about. no decent bars or shops in the immediate vicinity but not hard to walk a bit to find some. breakfast was really great.

Disliked: as above, nothing really happening in the imediate vicinity, no decent bars but nothing hard about walking or getting tube to find some.

Liked: The best part was the staff and the people in the common rooms and kitchen. It was very easy to make new friends each night and on Saturday night many people were drinking together well into the morning.

Disliked: The shower was very tiny and you have to keep pressing a button, which also means there is no way to control the water pressure but no big deal, I've seen much worse. The internet wasn't very good

Liked: Not far to subway station so good for Paris City. Breakfast was all right.

Disliked: Terrible. Rooms were dark and smelly, walls were so thin that you heard every noise at any point of hostel. My room was located in another building than the main building so I needed to pass through a small yard. Shower (I cannot believe they call it even "shower") was too small and dirty.

Liked: It was cheap and cheerful, and the location was easy to reach by metro and only 5mins from the sacre coeur. It's ideal if you just want somewhere to rest at the end of the day, but if you're also looking to meet people, the social areas are nice and always busy.

Disliked: The shared bathroom was unclean and the shower door was broken and as only half of the floor had been refurbished, the side we were on was a bit delapidated.

Liked: Nice beds and breakfast, friendly staff, clean sheets, bathroom and room cleaned everyday.

Disliked: The shower was veeery cold in the second day, but the other days it was fine.
