Liked: I liked one of their staff who helped us with the things to do in Paris and that's it..we were allotted a room on the 5th floor and when we requested for a lower floor as we had a luggage weighing more than 50 kg, we were told there are no rooms other than on 5th floor only, which had no lift.. we requested to check in 15 minutes before check in time which was 3 pm...we were told NO..we told the staff that we have been travelling for the past 15 hours by train and were told its not their problem..then another staff intervened and whispered something in the ears of the staff attending to us and told us that they will put us on 2nd floor provided we check in post 3 pm..to which we agreed, to our surprise we were put up in the rooms which were discarded and were no longer in use, in the bathroom the flush didn't work or rather nothing seemed OK, we paid 90 euros a night and were made to stay in a room not deserving more than 20 euros a night, I have stayed in Paris at least 10 times before this and have always stayed at decent enough place for this much of an amount..I feel its my mistake to have booked it and feel sorry for having just blown my money for nothing, also the area is not safe as my pocket was picked in the metro jules joffrin...it was a painful experience staying here from all quarters....sad super sad hostel..

Disliked: The staff except for one gentleman rest all think they are the owners of the place and the guests their slaves..

Liked: A very nice atmosphere and staff are very friendly/helpful. Close to the metro line "jules Joffrin", which is not the best metro line, but still makes it easy to get anywhere with a few stops! Rooms are clean, comes with a kitchen to cook your own food, no curfew. Good value for money IMO.

Disliked: There communal bathrooms were more often than not in a bad state. Although this was mostly due to other guests' disresgard than the fault of the hostel. The kitchen was not very well equipped (it covers the basics though!) There are no lockers in the room to lock your things away (I left my valuables in my room though and they were fine. A locker would've given me better peace of mind though!)

Disliked: The rooms are crowded and dark, loud till all hours of the night. The bathrooms are tiny and the showers so small and annoying that I actually dreaded having to use them.

Liked: The kitchen was useful and the free breakfast was appreciated. All in all, basic but pretty good value for Paris

Disliked: Showers were a bit small and there were no lockers in dorms but these are only picky things. Quite far from the centre of Paris but easily accessible by metro.

Liked: The atmosphere was great. Internet, table to eat, refrigerator and utensils. Though no napkins or paper towels anywhere!

Disliked: It's a bit of a ways from the train station and main points in the city. The surrounding area is great and it is close to the Metro (Jules Joffrin) but it's a longer Metro ride to most sites

Liked: Great location (walking distance to Sacre Couer and less than a minute from a metro stop) and great value for money (we got upgraded to an en suite room at no extra cost). It was also very useful to have breakfast included, which was available until 10:00 (not too early!).

Disliked: Our en suite bathroom was really clean, however the communal toilet looked a bit dodgy. Would recommend going for the en suite if possible. Also, the kitchen is quite small and gets pretty crowded.

Liked: I met some really nice people. My room was on the second floor, so that was great as there is no lift. Free breakfast!! The staff were all really friendly and so welcoming (apart from the woman in the kitchen).

Disliked: There are no lockers, but with only myself and two others in the room I didn't feel that my things were unsecure. The price... Paris is not cheap.

Liked: 2 ladys who working for the recetion they were really nice.

Disliked: BUT, the old lady who seem to be in charege of breakfast and cleaning, she was really awful to me, i was the first one to have a breakfast, then she said to me are you leaving today? that was already passed half past 7, she doesn't have to ask that to me.i kind of feel 'do i have to buy breakfast?' something, and i wanted to go ground to have a breakfast and to use my laptop as well, then she followed me and said, breakfast only in downstairs. in spite of i answered "ok, i'll go to downstairs"( it takes time to log off the internet)like this, she was still watched at me by angry eyes. have breakfast on the way,i got still half of butter and jams left , so i took another bread to have a butter with, and she said to me only one bread is allowed something. i felt really awful and embarassing.bcause there are another people have breakfast as well. i was thinking go back to this hostel again, but i won't. because of the old lady. does she owner of this hostel????i did travel around lots of city in europe. it was the worst experience that i have had so far.

Liked: Everything. I thinks is a good value for the price I paid. I love the staff. Those gys are rally helpful. One of them even made us delicious desserts and chocolates.

Disliked: the only thing I didn't aprecite was the "Breakfast Lady" I am a slow eater and one day after 5-10 minutes after breakfast time was over I was till eating and she literally took my food away. That was just rude and made me feel like very bad. She was very grumpy.
