Liked: This a great hostel and has a really good atmosphere. There's a great place to meet people downstairs and the staff are very friendly.

Liked: excellent location near the scre couer and 2 minutes away from the metro line.

Disliked: very small rooms and so extremely cramped when full.

Liked: The staff is realy friend and willing to help with all your questions. Almost all of them speak good english. They even let me store my bike in the lobby area. The location is a bit far out but it is good to reach with the metro (sacre ceure.. just 10 min walk) I felt safe..

Disliked: The wifi internet is only available in the lobby. The kitchen doesn't have a lot of utillities... wich made it hard to cook. It's very noisy... I could even hear people talking to floors down! There is a primary school behind the hostel.. so there is no sleeping in.. outside of the summer season!

Liked: Our rooms was really nice. We stayed in an ensuite 4 bed dorm and it looks really classy, it was apparently just renovated, so that was a plus point. And it was really clean as well. There's a hair dryer in the bathroom!! The desks and chairs in the room was a nice touch too. The lobby is very comfy, with sofas and tables and chairs and they have a foosball table! The kitchen has a microwave, stove and etc which is very convenient too. They also have a vending machine for conveniences, although expensive. Not to mention, the breakfast is fanstastic i think, although they are pretty strict about the amount you take...

Disliked: It was pretty far away from the city centre and therefore, most of the attractions, although it is conveniently situated near a metro station, it is still some distance away. Oh, it was really warm in Paris, so we left the windows open at night usually and people passing by are really loud and noisy.

Liked: Great hostel only 5 minutes metro from the city. Comfortable beds, excellent cooking facilities and the friendliest staff ever! The staff also helped book some tours for us by making like 4 calls off there own back. Highly recommended!!

Disliked: The showers were a little damp but other then that it was awesome!

Liked: Not a bad place to meet others. Fairly clean. Free breakfast that was good.

Disliked: Expensive compared to other hostels in Paris, the price I was quoted was lower than the actual bill for two of the nights. Staff could be a bit rude and unhelpful, and often were backed up with work. They didn't clean the bed of the girl who left the day I arrived assuming she was still there and instead kept taking my linen assuming I'd left which forced me to keep working out the situation with the staff and other guests since they wouldn't resolve it and in the end the problem was still never solved.

Liked: Sebastian on the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly and really stood out from the rest of the staff. The other reception staff were fine, just not as stand-out as Sebastian. I liked the proximity of the hostel to the Metro station and to Gare du Nord. It's also very close to the Sacre Coeur.

Disliked: The cleaning and kitchen staff were rude and pushy. The lady in the kitchen at breakfast lied to my face when telling me there were no more croissants when there was a basket of them right next to her. We were told to leave right on 10am because the kitchen was closed, even though breakfast only finishes being served at 10am. We actually arrived at 9:45am for breakfast and the kitchen lady refused to provide more milk for our tea and cereal. The walk up six flights of stairs to get to our room was ridiculous and the levels of noise that are tolerated by the staff is unacceptable. People were yelling and screaming at 4:00am and nothing was done about this by the staff who claim to be there 24 hours a day. I happened to over hear another guest asking to be put in to a different room due to the noise the previous night. I would never recommend this hostel to anyone and feel totally ripped off by paying the money I did to stay at this poor excuse for a safe, comfortable place to stay. If you want somewhere quieter to sleep than this hostel, go and sleep on the runway at Charles de Gaulle.

Liked: This hostel was such an amazing place, the staff was very friendly and there was a great atmosphere. This property gave me the classic hostel experience I was looking for.

Disliked: No personal safety boxes, but the property felt very safe regardless.

Liked: The location was close to Transit, which makes exploring so easy.

Disliked: Having a kitchen was good but there was limited supplies. I was there when it was under construction, that was irriating but overall at good place.

Liked: it was small, which gave it a friendly and homely atmosphere. the staff were really helpful and spoke good english. Montmarte is a really nice area with plenty of good value places to eat. metro very close so easy to get anywhere you want.

Disliked: common room was quite small, and ants on the croissants! but other than that we loved it

Liked: Staff are very friendly. Gave a lot of tips on where to go and what to do in Paris.

Disliked: On my first night, while my room mates and I were asleep, someone barged into our room. The girl who barged into our room managed to get in using her own card (i think she was staying in the room next door and mistook our room for her room). So i am wondering, how did she manage to open the door using her own room card. Although thankfully, nothing happened and no one was hurt, the fact that someone can barge into another room is a testament on the lack of security in the hostel. The location of the hostel is also very far from the city centre. It takes about 45 minutes by train to get to eiffel tower.

Liked: The staff actually smiled, which is a rare phenomenon in Paris. We had booked a 6 bed dorm, but because those were fully booked, we were put in a 3 bedroom dorm with en-suite bathroom!

Disliked: They charge you for computer use, however if you have your own laptop with you wifi is free! Also they didn't have any lockers in the rooms, and you had to keep all your valuables in your suitcase!

Liked: the room is quite small for 4 ppl. there is no lift. it is hard to climb up 6 floor with heavy luggage. helpful staff, free wifi

Disliked: Dirty, noisy, dull water system in the showers - you have to stand under disprse stream for a second and then push the button again. Yes, it saves water but it is extremely uncomfortable
