Liked: The staff were idiots, basically, which wasn't a good start. The rooms are cramped, including the common area (which has only one power socket) but it's a great atmosphere for meeting people. Breakfast is expensive. It's generally clean.

Disliked: Expensive breakfast, small rooms, very few power sockets, very small common area, stupid staff.

Liked: Nice hostel, very friendly, helpful staff, rooms were clean, cumfortable, not noisy. Only spent 1 night, but I enjoyed it :) Close to the Metro.

Disliked: Room and bathroom were a little small. ALSO! LOOK OUT! If you are coming from the Metro, when you come up the stairs, turn around and go up the staircase behind the metro, then turn right and head to the hostel. If you go left after leaving the metro, you will find yourself with 125 steps to climb with all your bags.

Liked: They had internet (with computers, not really good ones and wi-fi) and breakfast included.

Disliked: There was some weird bugs in the room, walking on the walls and biting people.

Liked: We LOVED the location!! So close to the Metro and in such a cool area.

Disliked: People were very loud past midnight in the hallway, mostly talking on cell phones.

Liked: The location was convenient, and the staff was friendly. The water in the showers was hot and the heating worked. Was else can you really ask for in a hostel, really?

Disliked: The fire alarm went off around 12:30 and there were a lot of loud people coming back from bars in the corridors later on in the night, but I suppose none of that is strictly speaking the hostel's fault. The rooms were crowded, and I've always taken umbrage at having to pay for sheets. Also, the staff, while friendly, did take a good half an hour to check me into my room, and I had a totally straightforward reservation.

Liked: there's lot of Asian here and the staff speak English well.

Disliked: we have to wait until 4 PM for check in and the computer was not too useful.

Liked: Not a lot.

Disliked: The whole place tends to be overheated and noisy, but worst of all were the FLEAS in my bed. I'm still itching like crazy. One of the staff in particular is just outright rude. The toilet was dirty and gross and the floor of the common area was filthy. When I compare this to the efficiency, service and value of the place I stayed in Berlin, there's no comparison. Just because it's Paris and expensive doesn't mean it has to be unhygienic!

Liked: Absolutely awesome area, the room for two was great with a private shower, and the breakfast was a super delicious fresh warm croissant and really epic granola so I would definitely recommend it

Liked: - close to monte matre- interior design was nice and appealing- breakfast was okay and sufficient: coffee, tea, orange juice, milk, cereals as much as you want-room was good-supermarket is close by

Disliked: - the cover for the blanket was not included but we got a sheet (could be very cold in rough winter times) - staff at reception was unfriendly

Liked: In a great part of Paris, close to the metro. Rooms were fine, included an en suite toilet and shower in the dorm room.

Disliked: Lacks the sort of communal lounge / space where you can relax and chat with people. There is a small area at the reception however this is more a transit area. There are lots of stairs (and no elevator): not for the mobility impaired.

Liked: The location was fantastic, one of the nicest most cliched areas of Paris, the old artistic area and the free breakfast was really good value

Disliked: They didnt have a common area which made meeting other travellers slightly more difficult and as the room was quite small there wasnt much space to just hang out. The kitchen was particularly badly equipped and the computers were sooo slow

Liked: Not much to like. Good location, good breakfast.

Disliked: Rooms are tiny and smelly and dirty. Bathrooms are dirty and drains were blocked. Only received one mangy blanket to sleep under, no sheet. Staff were so rude, offered no advice abou the city. Horrible, don't stay here.

Liked: Good location, this is the Parisian's Monmatre, perched at the top of the typical steps you get around Monmatre, on the north side of the hill, with excellent on your doorstep boulangeries and cafes.A 2.a.m. curfew means you't get rowdy and drunk backpackers crashing into your room, wondering what your problem is if you object.

Disliked: The kitchen and its equipment is the smallest in Paris (I've stayed at 6 different backpack hostels in Paris), so don't plan on using it for cooking a meal. There is also very limited seating in the reception/lounge area.

Liked: Amazing location. Close to metro station, lovely neighbourhood, delicious bakeries in the surrounding area. Great free breakfast. Amazing view from the rooms at the top

Disliked: There is no common room to hang out in, just an akward bit in reception. The internet (both the wireless connection and the provided computers) was slow and sometimes didn't work.. Not a great atmosphere. This is not a 'fun' hostel.

Liked: The location is very good and the bedroom was clean.

Disliked: The reception guy wasn't really friendly. He could say at least that there was a plant of Paris in a folder just on the right side of the reception desk.
