Customer reviewThe staff was very nice, the location very good for people who'd like to party. The bathroom was clean, though you can hear everytime the neighbours flushed the toilet. Accomodation was meager, a bed and something like a table. That's it. Well, it was okay for one night and it's okay when you'd like to go out and get drunk. |

Customer reviewThis isn't a four star hotel by any stretch but it is in an awesome part of town. The area is lively and in the middle of it. I walked from the hotel all over Paris. Some places took longer to get to than others but it's possible. For when I got lazy on walking the metro stop was right there. The room was small and loud because of the street below but it was fine. The room had a funky smell but oh well, it was a room and I had a bed with clean sheets and a clean towel. It was worth it, I loved the neighborhood. |

laura sheathe best thing going for this property is the location-fun, young, lively Bastille area . it's very close to the metro and walking distance to Notre Dame, Seine, Hotel D'Ville, Louvre, etc. the rooms are small-typical, the ones in the back have a window that opens onto a large air vent and so don't' get much light and zero view. the walls/doors are thin and you can hear everything that happens in the hall. ask for a room on the top floor where I believe you would get less noise/hall traffic and in the front for something of a view though you would then get noise from the street as the bars in this area stay open late. |

Customer reviewAlthough the location of this hotel is really very good, the enviroment of the hotel is bad, the window is facing the drainage (very easy for theft to climb up), no phone in the room and can't find internet access in the hotel. The staff is not helpful. The outside enviroment is very noisy at night especially Saturday night. |

Line HenriksenIt was very central. We had our own toilet and bath (it had quite a bad smell, though, but so did the entire hotel) |

Customer reviewExcellent location, which I already knew. Staff not really very helpful. The room was very basic and it had a horrible smell. We have asked if they could change the room and always replied that was not possible. Breakfast was not always available, only 1 day we could take it and it was good. Not sure to stay there again as I believe you could get better options on that price. |

Vladimir KozinWe check in at 12.00 and administrator asked to come at 14.00, then we come at 14.00 and he offered to come at 16.00. Not friendly staff, no security, bathroom clean and room clean, and it is good value for money and for stay no more then 2 nights. Anyway, if we will need to sleep in Paris for this money it is very good. Accepted credit cards. |

Alice HowellAfter reading reviews by other travellers, we were really worried about our trip. How wrong can people be! This hostel does exactly what it says on the tin...it is advertised on hostelbookers because it is not a 5* hotel. The location is truly unbeatable, you leave the Bastille metro station and the hotel is right in front of you! The area surrounding the hotel is lively and offers an excellent array of bars, nightclubs and restaurants. People have complained about the noise...we didn't hear a thing. This could be perhaps because we were not at the front of the hostel, but simply email the hostel and request a back bedroom. Most of the main attractions are within walking distance (Notre Dame, Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Champs Elysee). All the others are so easily reached with the metro. The quirky district of Le Marais is on the doorstep with even more restaurants, shops etc to explore. If you are coming to Paris to do what most tourists do, experience the sights and sounds of one of the best cities in the world...then Hotel Bastille is all you need; a clean room, en-suite with helpful staff and basic comfort. If however, you are planning on spending most of your time in your hotel room then don't stay here....it's that simple...but then why go to Paris? |

Customer reviewLocation!! This is a hotel for every average person who doesn't want to spend time in the hotel and stay in the centre of Paris!! As other people mentioned - it's loud at night as it's a busy cafe/restaurant street but I bought ear plugs and I was perfectly fine although I always have problems falling asleep with any noise. It was great for us, friendly staff and I was really happy about this stay. We even had a working TV in the room - for those who would be interested as we never used it:) Depending on what you need in a hotel.. but I recommend it for people like us who only need a place to stay for the night and close to all attractions! |

Raul CervantesGreat location. Near social sites and restaurants. Very good value for money. Clean enough, nice staff. Don't expect too much though, in general it's quite good. |
