Liked: There are quite a few supermarkets near the hostle which is good for budget travellers. There is also a communal area for people to socialise and relax. It's fitted with WIFI and a foosball table which I enjoyed.

Disliked: The room is not very clean and there are patches of mould in the toilet.

Liked: Free wifi. Friendly staff. Secure luggage room. Rooms average.24hour reception. Good location for metro, and is near Gard Du Nord even though i had great difficulty finding the property!

Disliked: Stayed in 3 rooms and all 3 had really bad dampness in the bathrooms. it advertises a kitchen, but it is just a microwave & fridge, which i went out to buy something microwavable for dinner, when i returned that evening, the microwave was out of order!

Liked: probably it's in Paris so the room and the bathroom are tiny tiny (compared to Lyon and Marseille). But i'd to say cost/benefit value is not bad. there's a supermarket just right next to the hostel; and lots of bars and restaurants are near the hostel, it locates in a comfortable area which is suitable for living

Disliked: the shower facility is so small that whenever after shower the floor in bathroom is totally wet

Liked: I liked that breakfast was included, and that it consisted of more than just a croissant and coffee. I also liked the location, it was very easy to find and close to metro Anvers, Gare du Nord and the lovely Sacre Coeur neighborhood.

Disliked: That we had to change rooms several times

Liked: Pretty good breakfast with sweet cereal, croissants and rolls (as well as orange & apple juice, coffee, hot chocolate, and tea).

Disliked: It was a little bit far from the main attractions in Paris (like the Eiffel Tower/Louvre/etc) but Gare du Nord metro stop/train station was really close so we could take the Metro anywhere we wanted.

Liked: No safe/locker on the rooms. Location is good with many supermarkets around (they could provide a map of their locations with opening times). One of them closes at 23h. You can buy many ready meals for 2-3 euros and cook on the microwave they have on the hostel. The common area is very versatile and with nice music (sometimes too loud as it sound quieter in reception). The kitchen can be used, but they don't promote it on the page. Take a coffee/tea there is nice for guests and inexpensive for hostel (I am glad they don't lock things, especially with the prices they have per bed). The room windows face the street which is noisy, but you can use air conditioning if you like (I prefer ear plugs + window). I was on a 3 beds room (1 + bunk of 2). It was ok, but the walls look very poor. They do have games (chess, fuzz ball, etc.) which is nice. More games is better! It's expensive for what I use to pay, but Paris seems to have higher prices than other cities, so they go with the market ;o) My mother didn't like at all the bunker bed ;o( I can sleep on a rock/tree, so ok for me, but if anyone on the bunker moves in his bed, he/she moves it all (could have better stability). There are 2 computers for internet, but they are NOT free.

Disliked: Price, but as I said, its Paris... The 6th day, someone ate our cheese and yoghurts from the common fridge :o( Not hostel's fault anyway.

Liked: Very close to a metro stop and within walking distance of the sacred heart

Disliked: The rooms are a bit shabby, but if you're just looking for a place to sleep at night, it's ok. But for something at this price, I think I could have gone somewhere equal in quality but cheaper.

Liked: The Vintage Hostel is ideally located near the Gare Du Nord. Along the walk up Rue Dunkerque you will find a Boulangerie, a Supermarket, and a good wine shop, so you will all you need for that picnic under the Eiffel Tower. The hostel itself is staffed well and with friendly and helpful people. There is a secure luggage area so you can spend your last day outside for a little longer before making your journey home.

Disliked: The only downside is the limited choice at breakfast and at busy times you can find yourself waiting for the croissant basket to be refilled. I would definitely stay at this place again.

Liked: Having an ensuite bathroom was nice. Tiny balcony where I dried my laundry. Computers in the lobby, small kitchen facilities but the large eating area was nice. Location is great, near Gare du Nord for easy connections to airports, trains and metros.

Disliked: No lockers in the room. The bathroom ceiling was disgustingly moldy. It looked like there was a plumbing problem in the room above and the ceiling looked about ready to collapse and shower me with mold. After taking a hot shower for less than 5 minutes, the whole bathroom filled with the smell of mold, which didn't dissipate for the length of my stay. Everything was sort of grungy. If mold bothers you, don't stay here.
