Liked: The location was excellent and the staff were nice.

Disliked: I stay in hostels a lot and this wasn't the cleanest one ever. Or the dirtiest...but definitely closer to the latter than the former. The staff were super nice but somewhat unhelpful regarding information in Paris. The steps to the rooms are narrow to the point of being dangerous. Toilets are only on one floor and showers are only on two. Having 2 toilets and 4 showers for the entire hostel made things interesting....

Liked: I really liked the free breakfast, the option of paying for internet and the location. For those reasons alone, I would recommend it. The safes and luggage storage were nice too.

Disliked: I don't think the pillowcases are really changed every day, but if you ask for a new one, they wil give it to you. There are no lockers for your bags so you just have to be able to squeeze everything valuable into the few small lockers downstairs. The steps up are super narrow and make getting luggage (or a drunk person) up and down them very hard. I was there on the first Sunday of the month and noone told me until Monday that the museums had been free the day before. Thumbs down.

Liked: Staff was very nice! Even told me to go out when they saw me on the computer! Great location, and the beds were comfortable

Disliked: Shower had a bit of mold, and the bathroom wasn't quite clean

Liked: The location was awesome and the staff were mostly helpful and easy to get along with. The breakfast was more interesting than just cereal and toast which was nice.

Disliked: The bar across the street kicked out at 5am on fridays and saturdays and the entire area was generally loud until the early hours of the morning. The toilets and showers, though mostly clean, had hints of mould and wouldn´t be described as "nice". The 11am to 4pm lockout of the rooms was also annoying, especially if you forgot something or had had a late night.

Disliked: everything. There is always a bad smell in hostel and the room is really dirty. I found a bottle in my bad(they should clean it before check in but they didn't do anything)

Liked: Great location - right along a metro stop and fairly centrally located. It's along a cute street with a neat market and nice cafes. Free breakfast (though limited food selection).

Disliked: The hostel itself was not very clean - they didn't provide us with sheets when we first asked (probably a miscommunication), but there also aren't enough bathrooms and showers - we had to wait in line to use the bathrooms. I wished they had lockers in the rooms to secure my things.

Liked: Great location and atmosphere. Fantastic place to stay if you are a solo traveller.

Disliked: Toilet and shower situation a little unsual and inconvienient.

Liked: ALL of the staff are great! And they take excellent care of you! The area they are in is also really a bonus - great food and shopping. This was our second stay there. Hope we get to go back yet again!

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Location away from traffic noise

Disliked: the very small rooms (literally, there was only room for the bed!) proximity to other rooms (you could hear evrything your neighbours said/screamed out)

Liked: The location.

Disliked: Everything but the location and the other travellers. NO HOT WATER FOR MORE THAN A WEEK. They said they were waiting for the piece they needed to fix it, but it had been like that for more than a week. The showers (all 3 of them) were dirty, as were the toilets (which, by the way, were only 2). There were no lockers, the buffet breakfast is a lie, it is just a croissant, a piece of bread and sometimes cereal. You have to pay to use the internet even if you have your own laptop; and it doesn't work at all (true story).

Liked: Decent location, right close to a metro station.

Disliked: Tiny rooms, no lockers, squeaky beds, low ceiling (I am 5'11" and I was only 2 or 3" from the ceiling), 4 toilets and 4 showers for all guests. Also, on Friday and Saturday bars along the street stay open until 5am!

Liked: Location is perfect, right in the center of Quartier Latin. Guests were great and friendly.

Disliked: Charged wi-fi, poor breakfast and the water of the shower was cold most of the time.

Liked: Close to the city center, rue Mouffettard is amazing.

Disliked: The building is old, facilities are horrible, no lockers in rooms, no lift, noise, dirty bathrooms, NO HOT WATER during a whole week end, internet soooo slow.

Liked: The location's just perfect - in a good district of Paris, 10-15 min to Notre Dame Cathedral on foot. And they can hold the valuables so it's pretty safe to stay there and leave your stuff. The people working there are extremely nice too. I actually stayed for the 2nd time cuz I like the location. worth the money all in all

Disliked: no hot water in the showers in the morning which is refreshing but not exactly what I expected, the showers are a bit shabby too. and breakfast could have been a little better

Liked: The price.

Disliked: The cleanliness. Everything was a mess...the bathrooms are gross. The bed I stayed in had the worst matress and was like a taco. Not impressed....even for the money.

Liked: It's location is its one great advantage, being in the heart of the Latin quarter which I love.

Disliked: The shower and toilet facilities are insufficient. Also, had the worst night's sleep I've had in any hostel in the world, due to room being above a road that is busy every minute of the night and day. Terrible. And I was wearing earplugs!!

Liked: The location is the only great thing about this hostel. The staff was friendly and I felt safe.

Disliked: It was very dirty even though the rooms were closed between 11 and 4 every day because they were being "cleaned". I stayed for 6 nights and the room was never cleaned, the shower was very moldy, sink and floors were dirty and the few toilets available were always disgusting. Bed was uncomfortable and the whole hostel was very noisy. Internet is not free and its incredibly slow which is very strange in the year 2011. The hostel should seriously consider investing in a faster and free wifi and better cleaning. Then this would become a great hostel that I would recommend to all my friends.

Liked: location was great in the Latin Quarter..good pubs and eats around, close to metro

Disliked: Place was filthy..Bathrooms and showers grungy and moldy, sinks cloged as well as showers so everything floods onto floors. Staff doesn't care. The hostel offers sheet but no pillow cases? They don't change em, be warned. Internet is extreemly slow and they charge you even for wireless with your own comp. Desk can only help you with printing at some times....the list goes on.

Liked: the staff was really nice and the place was perfect to meet new people. Location was awesome and there were great little bars and shops on the street. It was really close to the metro Place Monge. It was a safe neighbourhood and it was crowded at any time of the night. Fun place.

Disliked: No elevator and long stairs but it was okay. private rooms are little but this was nothing compared to the other good things
