This place is awesome... take away the 121stairs to get to my room - which I hardly spent any time in. Karen's tours that are run from the hostel are awesome. It was also a great ice breaker for people staying for a few nights... we then hung out throughout the week... exploring and drinking our way around paris!!

It's pretty close to Louis Blanc underground station and there is other station in front of the hostel, but I don't remember its name. The front desk is also a bar, so it's a great place to meet people. Bedrooms are clean, kind of little but ok. The only problem it's the huge stair you have to climb to get to your room... I'm saying that 'cause mine was in the 5th floor! ;)... But you can live your luggage in the storage room, so it's not a huge problem... There is free internet acess for whom has a computer... otherwise, you have to pay.

I would be more happy if they have the locker in the room instead of just allow to put a small stuff which are valuable in their reception lockers. As some of the traveller have lots of valuable stuff, maybe a small bag, but not enough space and only can put the passport or carmea in the lockers at the reception, so not felt so safe for own belongings when u go out for sights seeing honesty.

The hostel was close to the metro which was convenient for seeing all the sights of paris, but the hostel itself was very average with very small rooms and bathrooms.

The hostel is not really an example of beautyness but is very near
to Metro station ,to some very good boulangerie and
mini market and is not so expansive,naturally compared with the
cost of other place in Paris... in other European city for the same
prize i've found hostel very finer and cleaner than this .
The other guest are seemed to me ok.
Staff speak French and English.
i've been in this hostel from 16 to19 August 2008.

Great atmosphere! I had a lot of fun at the bar, and the tour/picnic was really good! Mad props to Karen!
