 it's clean & security is ok. the staff is heldful., but no elevator and if not travelling light as i was, bringing one's baggage up is a problem.

We stayed at the hostel as two families with young children - not the normal clientele of 'Peace and Love'. For us, the 8-bedded
(or more accurately 2x4-bedded), room/s was great - giving the children their own space and sleeping area, whilst the adults could stay up and entertain themselves in peace. The overall ambience and friendliness of the hostel was a great experience for the kids - and us. We all really enjoyed it.

Was a great place to come back to at the end of the night, met heaps of people, had a ball. Service is not the fastest, but the girls and boys were really friendly.

brilliant atmosphere, great little bar really excellent place to meet other travellers. The staff are great, give them a hard time they'll give it right back!

The beds fine, the rooms cozy (if a little cramped) but only 2 or 3 sharing so not too bad like that. I really enjoyed the walking tour of Montemarte and met some good people.

A great place to meet fellow English speakers in a diverse and friendly neighbourhood that is only a short metro ride or decent walk to everything.

The rooms only have two or three people in each room, most have an ensuite shower, bathroom and sink, and the whole room is cleaned daily so you don't get the usual grotty communal shower experience. The bar was a great place just to hang out, we met so many great people who we travelled the city with. The staff (bar staff in particular) were so friendly and always willing to help with directions, metro tips or suggestions for sights and nights out. The hostel also runs its own walk tours bi-weekly which were good value and fun, and showed you out-of the way and interesting parts of Paris. Can't say enough good things about the place, and its conveniently located for metro and sight-seeing trips. Definately staying here again next trip.

The staff. If you are travelling alone and want to talk it is exellent. The bar always has a lively and friendly atmosphere. The place is very welcoming.

good value for money, next to the subway and shops, open 24 hours... just what it needs to have fun in a cool city!!

Great position; 10 mins walk from Gare du nord
Great place to meet people
Metro Station less than 5 mins walk
Beer could be cheaper though, only thing wrong with this place.

The kitchen and the bar were excellent. The staff were friendly, and the walking tours really good fun... But when I got there my booking had not gone through, the beds were really squeaky, the ensuite shower had a clear door - not very private! And the toilets really smelt!
