Liked: The location was cool, and I happened to meet some nice people.

Disliked: Pretty much everything. There's only one key to the room, so if you come back late, you have to wake someone in the room up to let you in. Breakfast was just terrible - two croissants and a cup of coffee - and should not even be considered a "free breakfast". The showers were very small, and there was only one per floor. Only one toilet per floor as well. The plugs in the rooms didn't work either.. And of course, the staff were not friendly at all, especially the night guy. So yeah, it pretty much sucked. Book earlier and stay somewhere nicer.

Disliked: Rude staff. Lack of bar / social space to hang out in. Dirty showers. Long room cleaning time (11.00-15.30) every day

Liked: I met some good people there.

Disliked: The staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. There power points/plugs in the rooms do not work as the owner turns them off to save electricity. The breakfast is a joke (croissant out of a vending machine). The pillows and doonas/duvets are absolutely filthy. The showers are disgusting. There is only one key for each room, which means that you are constantly being woken up by other people when they want to be let into the room. Only stay at this hostel as a last resort, it is definitely not worth the amount they charge.

Liked: It's not near main roads so there's not much traffic noise

Disliked: It's hidden just out of sight but if you know where to look then it's not too difficult to find.

Liked: The staff were friendly, there was no curfew and the train station was across the road so easy to get around. Gerat bathroom in rooms, nice sized room. Very clean.

Disliked: There were no kitchen facilities. You were not allowed food in rooms and no alcohol anywhere in hostel. You could not use room between 11am and 3:00pm so if you have a big night or are sick you cannot sleep in. Hallway toilets have no basin for washing hands. No wi-fi access and internet access was expensive.

Liked: Convenient location near a major metro/train station. Comfortable beds. A good place to stay for the price.

Disliked: They give you 2 keys for 6 people! In the room there are not enough plugs! ..

Liked: great location

Disliked: there are no facilities as hostel should have like kitchen, breakfast was not fresh, they give you kroassan from machine foir breakfast and a drink, no connections to internet if you have your own laptop. A lot of thing missing in this hostel. No lift.

Liked: Location was convenient, close to Gare de Lyon train station and the Bastille area.

Disliked: There was only one power outlet available for a room of 3 people, and the outlet was placed very stupidly above one of the beds and I couldn't have reached it if I hadn't stepped on my bed to do so. impossible to charge a laptop or anything heavier than a phone without holding your device the entire time. Breakfast was miserable vending machine croissants and the toilets don't have sinks so you have to walk all the way back to your own room to wash your hands. And no wi-fi.

Liked: I liked that is was situated on a main Metro line, which made getting around paris super simple. The staff were also rather friendly, even in the early hours of the morning.

Disliked: I wish that Blue planet was a more social place, because there is a relatively small common room, there wasn't a large opportunity to meet a lot of the people staying there, despite a large number of rooms. With this said, we were lucky enough to meet a few great people.

Liked: Really nice location. For the price we paid everything was fine. We paid for sheets that we didn't have and they gave us our money back. Staff was kind of friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Only one shower and toilet for the entire floor and the smell in our room was kind of bad but after a couple of minutes you get used to it

Liked: The location next to a central train/metro terminal was very useful, as was the ease of access to local shops, restaurants, etc. The location was also fairly quiet and the rooms were kept aired by large open windows which made the heat bearable. I was also very grateful for the baggage storage room which you could use for an entire day after checkout, this was kept securely away from the rest of the building.

Disliked: Several things were not well thought out: 1. there were no wash basins within the communal bathrooms, you had to walk back to your room to wash your hands and there were no soap/dryers/towels available of any kind. 2. perhaps most importantly was the availability of a single room key for up to four people in a dorm, this means that every time you leave/go to sleep you must leave the key at reception as the others cannot enter your room without it (this is an issue if one of your dorm mates comes home late or something similar). this also links to number 3, there are no lockers, only very small safety deposit boxes, which you must pay for, so its very hard to store your valuables (this was made more inconvenient when the ceiling began to leak in our room and everything was stored on the floor) as a result you run the risk of leaving your items exposed and available to anyone as the door is often left ajar to prevent itself automatically locking, this was often the case when a new guest arrived and took the key out with them under the impression there was more than one...

Disliked: Door key system is awful. Only one key per room.

Liked: The location was alright.

Disliked: The key system is meant for safety, but it's really poorly executed. Basically only one key works at a time on the door. So several times when I used the toilet, or took a shower, I got locked out of my room and had to go to reception to reactivate my key. Also there are not enough showers and toilets for the number of rooms/guests. Breakfast is a free pastry out of a vending machine.
