Liked: Location

Disliked: One key per dorm, makes it difficult to come and go without disturbing people in the room Flashy blue lights on orange walls gave the whole place a not so pleasant first impression.

Liked: the price, no curfew

Disliked: the staff, dirty toilets, hair in the shower, soft and small matresses, bad smelling rooms, being thrown out of the hostel from 11 am to 3 pm.

Liked: The location is good, there is no curfew.

Disliked: There are stains on the bedsheets, there is no sheet around the blankets and because of that they are itchy. Also there is no sheet around the pillow. The room itself is clean, but the beds are not. Not all rooms have the same facilities, some have a shower or toilet and some don't have it for the same price. There is no lock on the bathroom inside the room. The public bathrooms are just a room with one shower and one toilet, not a row of them like in most hostels. Also, the price on hostel bookers is 20 euros, while the price on their own website is 18 euros. The price upon arrival is 25 euros and this is not mentioned on the website

Liked: Very helpful to have a luggage room where to leave your bags for the day after checking out. The hostel is very well controlled by the staff so that's safe.

Disliked: Breakfast comes with coffee/other drinks and 2 snacks coming from the machines. Not healthy at all but ok for this budget accommodation.Bed covers/blankets do not have sheets.Every room has only one key to be shared so during the night you have to wake up and open the door to the those arriving late. I recommend it only for youngsters.For people over 30s it might seem noisy,crowdy and not so clean,though safe and friendly.

Liked: location is good close to metro station Gare de Lyon. hot shower.

Disliked: guests are not allowed into the rooms from 11 am to 3.30 pm because of cleaning. however, all that is cleaned is the floor, while the rest of the room looks like it has never been cleaned. there is only one plug per room. it is possible to charge your phone there but not the laptop (it won't work because it needs too much power. in case you want to use the laptop in your room you can ask at reception if they also it is better if you bring your own towels and bedsheets otherwise you'll have to pay 2 euros each. internet costs 2 or 3 euros. for people who share a room: there is only one key per room which means the person who is back first will have to let the others in (even if at 2 am at night). the shower is hot 24h but it turns off all the time.

Liked: It's very central, right next to the big station Gare de Lyon.

Disliked: 1. No WIFI ? Anywhere ??? 2. Only one key per room 3. Mattresses are very thin, very similar to sleeping on cardboard 4. Shower water kept alternating between hot and cold 5. At 11 a guy goes into every room forcefully saying "hello??? cleaning time! you must leave." 6. The luggage room, where you must leave your things during said cleaning time (11:00-15:30), does not spring thoughts of security. If the receptionist doesn't notice, which he rarely does, anyone can go in and take anything. Sure, there are cameras, but that doesn't seem good enough 7. The breakfast is NOT real breakfast - you get three coins for a coffee machine and a croissant machine, only these aren't really croissants and they suck 8. If you don't have a sleeping bag or your own sheets - there is an obligatory 2 euro bed sheet you must rent. I did not like this hostel.

Disliked: Majority of facilities are terrible. Staff are far from welcoming. Rather spend a little more for something alot more livable!

Liked: I liked that it is right next to Gare du Lyon and the Promenade Plantee. I like that it is inexpensive. The floors are kept very clean and it's nice to have a bathroom/shower en suite for 4 people.

Disliked: The "breakfast" is horrible. It is a stale, commercial, plastic wrapped pain au chocolat from a vending machine and various "coffees and teas" from another vending machine. Very poor quality. Also, it was so noisy outside at night, not from people, but from trucks collecting garbage and other industrial noises. It was very difficult to sleep. Also, there was no wifi and if you wanted to use the internet you had to pay 3 or 6 euros. I had to go to a cafe on the corner to use free wifi.

Liked: the location, and it's not expensive as everything is in Paris.

Disliked: They should have a kitchen or some electronic stuff to prepared you're own stuff. And they seriously need to give wifi, cause they charge you for it. And that not nice. Bit actually no where in Paris there's free wifi actually.

Liked: There was nothing I liked.

Disliked: I am writing because I am upset by my experience. I stayed there for three nights. During my stay I noticed bites all over my body. I realized that the bites were from bed bugs. When I got home I had to wash all my clothes in hot water (which cost me) and go out to buy creme for $50 dollars to try to stop the scaring. I stayed at the hostel because I thought it would save me money and now it's costing me more and my health. Having bed bugs is clearly a violation of health codes. There is a smell in the hostel that is horrible, mold in the bathroom and stains all over the sheets. I was there for three nights and didn't even take a shower because it was so horrible. I have stayed in numerous hostels but none have been so bad. What is sad is that the owners and the workers know it's bad, there is no way they don't but they continue to let people stay in their disgusting rooms. HostelBookers should take this hostel off their options it is so bad, it makes their website look bad.

Liked: Pretty much it was a cheap place to stay

Disliked: They made us have one key between the five strangers staying in a room so it was difficult to get in and find the people or get it back from reception. it's a really bad system, We didn't have security lockers either. Their english was minimal and i couldn't check in because the man was demanding to know my room number. which being a hostel is a necessity for the load of travellers who a great deal of will be english speaking.

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: The sheets were not clean and so stained, even if you were to purchase sheets as they wanted you were still sleeping on top of crimy sheets and pillows that are never changed. The toilets have no basins in them, and so to wash your hands you have to travel through 3 doors, massively promoting germs. Also while we were there a girl had all of her possessions stolen from the hostel, which the staff were unhelpful with solving. Breakfast is also a vending machine which you are given a token for. We booked a private room for 3 nights and only stayed one, finding accommodation elsewhere as this hostel was quite literally vile. I have travelled a lot and am use to normal conditions of a hostel but this is not one I would recommend to anyone.

Disliked: No free wifi. Only one key per room- stupid system. Not enough plugs. Kitchen and bedrooms closed during crucial daytime hours. Obligatory rent of sheets cost extra. Showers cold!

Liked: Proximity to train station was good. Cheap.

Disliked: Unclean, old building and facilities, felt quite dirty, the one available powerpoint in the room was not working, no atmosphere whatsoever, internet is an absolute rip-off, bathrooms were disgusting, breakfast not worth eating, staff not particularly friendly or helpful.
