Liked: nothing, I have been in at least 35 different hostels on my 4 month journey around europe and this is the only hostel where I have a abad time.....many things I didnt like about this place

Disliked: no internet no breakfast, bad service horrible front desk personal

Liked: Good location and very cheap.

Disliked: Each room only having one key, very inconvenient. Bed sheets and covers were stained, best to bring your own!

Liked: It was close to the metro stop, Gare de Lyon.

Disliked: Members of the staff were rude. They charged for towels and sheets, and although both were returned at the end of the stay, it was not done in a 'deposit' system where we could get our money back upon returning them. Sheets were required to be rented, although this was not made known to us before our arrival at the hostel. Breakfast was minimal and had hours that were too limited (between 7:45 and 9am only).

Liked: The location was decent. Small number of people in each room and basins in rooms.

Disliked: This was not a great hostel at all....... The staff were unhelpful. We had to share a key between everyone in the room- 3 people, which was an issue at times. One person checked in at 3am and knocked on the door waking us up. Sheets and pillows felt very unclean. Only one toilet and shower per floor- not enough, waiting alot. At times toilet was filthy. The free breakfast provided is not really worthwhile.

Liked: Rooms weren't packed with too many people (3-4 people to a room), clean beds and sheets, didn't smell. It's in a good location, right next to Gare de Lyon, I wasn't freaked out or anything walking back.

Disliked: There's only 1 key for a room, and the security is super sketchy. Me and my friend were able to go upstairs to our room without presenting any sort of ID or verification. We didn't have the key since the other occupants had taken it and gone to bed first, so it was just a matter of knocking on/opening the door. No one would have known we'd actually paid for a room. The seating area is super small, definitely overcrowded for breakfast.

Disliked: This place was disgusting. There is also one shared key per room. So there are people constantly knocking on doors to get inside.

Liked: The rooms where warm enough for the cold outside, it's in a good location and next to the hostel there's food almost at any time.

Disliked: The showers, u have to push the button in order to get water.

Liked: We didnt like anything about this hostel apart from the price! The staff were rude and unhelpful..you couldnt check in until 3.30pm and even if you could check in your not allowed to be in your room during he day time! The rooms were small and dirty and the beds were the worst we have stayed in. They had bed bugs and the bathrooms weren't even touchable... no hot water and moldy!! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL

Disliked: we hated everything. worst place we have every stayed in europe so far.

Liked: It was cheap! The hostel was also really close to the metro station, which was great and near a number of popular attractions.

Disliked: Lack of hot water in the showers on level 4 at least, the cleanliness was not so good, the lack of towels and sheets as well as only semi serviceable beds.

Liked: The location and one of the three members of the staff.

Disliked: Noisy, because of the Novotel back entrance across the street that sounded terrible starting with 7 AM. Their lying about breakfast. The showers, that were closing automatically after 30 seconds and when you press them again, the water is also cold. No wireless, only Internet in the common premises, for 3 euros/30 minutes!

Liked: It was cheap and in a central location close to a kick ass bakery

Disliked: There were a million things about this place you could find fault with - I had low expectations and they were largely uninterupted on being confronted with the reality of the place but nothing was stolen and lifes too short. If you go, just be aware that.... there is one guy there who is nice and the rest of them are ass holes -or were to me anyway- assholes who begrude you for making them do their jobs, the internet service is laughably slow and expensive, the rooms were dirty, the shower didn't work properly, they have cameras in the room you keep your bags but if anything were to be stolen they would do shit all about it, their safefy deposit box is a plastic box under the counter -anyone could take anything they wanted from it by asking and quoting a room number (sometimes they don't even bother to ask for that) to what ever jerk is behind the counter at the time, there is only one key per room, I cannot express enough how inconvenient that is, the rooms are small, the beds are small, the place as a whole is not the kind of place you want to hang around, BUT having said that who wants to go to Paris and spend all day inside their hostel amyway? I had an amazing 5 days in Pairs all at this hostel, it was warm enough and dry enough to be sufficient, it was dirty and the staff were unhelpful, but it was cheap and easy to travel out from and I got what I needed and what I paid for. Stay if your used to humble accomodations if not spring for somewhere better.

Liked: The hostel was right of the metro line (Gare de Lyon).

Disliked: They claimed a "free breakfast" but really it was the opportunity to put a coin in a vending machine for a gross coffee and even more gross croissant. Not the breakfast I imagined.

Liked: Good spot near main train station, place looks like, common area is good.

Disliked: The key situation was weird... dont know if its normal or not but each of the 3 guys in my room had a key but only one worked at any given time... so if I came in the other guys swipe cards didnt work any more. Bit dumb, especialy because this once happenedd when I was in the shower so I had to walk down 5 floors in my towel, and nobody deserves to see me standing half naked in reception. Other thing, for me anyway, was everyone there was really young... as in 18 or 19. This is not a criticism but would suggest to people in their 20s, especially mid to late, that another place might have a more suitable character for you.
