Liked: The stay at Woodstock was very pleasant overall. Good value for money, the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast wasn't anything impressive but the croissants were quite good, close to the metro station, bakery, supermarket and SACRE COEUR!
Disliked: only one shower and one toilet per floor were a bit troubling, but I could live with that.

Liked: I loved this hostel! It had a lovely atmosphere and everyone was very friendly, especially the staff. We had a private room which was more than adequate for our needs - a (very comfy) bunkbed and plenty of room for two girls to get ready with wc just down the hall. Everything was very clean and even the decor was very cool ;) The location is perfect for Montmartre and easy enough to get to central Paris from Anvers station which is just 2 minutes away. I would definitely stay here again and definitely recommend it for people looking for somewhere to stay - great value for money.
Disliked: The only slight disappointment was the breakfast - they only had sugared cereals and croissants, it would have been nice to have some fresh fruit but hey, coffee and croissants are always good!

Liked: This hostel is in a great location and within walking distance to the metro which you can get practically anywhere. You get what you pay for with the free breakfast - it is very light on, so get in early if you want choice. There is a sink in the dorm room which is really handy. The reception area is nice and friendly.
Disliked: Our dorm the room was very cramped - there were 6 beds in a very small room with a cupboard type shower which didn't look like it had been cleaned for a while. There wasn't really enough room to get changed in the shower. You have to hire towels and sheets and every night we were there (3 nights) there were at least 2 people in our dorm which didn't have sheets. It was pretty gross people sleeping on the bare mattresses with the blanket provided and not even using a pillow case. We brought our own to save money but it still felt gross sleeping on a bed where many people would not have had sheets. The first night we were there, there were people yelling into the early morning and vomiting in the shower next door - this hostel is not at all soundproof, you hear everything!!! The shower next door to our dorm was really weird - when you opened the door there was a sink in the doorway and you couldn't close the door without having to pull it hard against the sink (hard to explain but very weird). There was no ventilation in this shower so it quickly became a steam room. You have to walk into the outdoor terrace area in between the reception area and the dorms to get to the toilets which is not that great in the night when it is freezing outside. The toilets were pretty ok but it is pretty gross that there is no soap or hand sanitizer in the toilets so unless you bring your own there are a lot of people who don't wash their hands. The kitchen was ok but I would recommend pre washing your dishes that you use. There was a stench when we opened the cupboards so after the first night we opted for microwave meals. There was barely any cutlery and the utensils are very limited, so if you plan on cooking a meal check out the kitchen first to make sure you can cook what you want. I didn't like that the baggage storage room is open for anyone to grab anyones bags - don't leave anything in here unless you don't care if someone takes it!! I would not recommend this hostel unless there is nothing else available in Paris. You are better off paying a little more and getting some more comfort.

Liked: it has a very nice atmosphere and the facilities are very nice. it has a kitchen with pans and plates you can use, microwave and a electrical stove, and the free breakfast is good if you get up early enough to find food. the staff was very helpful. there are computers available but they're very slow.
Disliked: the lockout isn't ideal, but as it was previously informed, it wasn't a problem. there's only one bathroom and one shower per floor, so it's hard to get them free or clean, although they were never dirty when i used them.

Liked: The staff is quite helpful. It's a little bit inconvenient that there is no locker in the room, but there is a safe at the reception. There are simple free breakfast everyday (bread, jam, butter and some drinks)
Disliked: The wifi connection is bad in our room, so we need to go to the open area in front of the reception to get a better connection. The heater in the room is not good coz all of us (my friend and the roommates) feel so cold at night and need to cover our coat on top of the blanket.

Liked: Supermarket right next door, metro 5 minute walk. Clean and warm, basic but nice.
Disliked: Wifi didnt work so could not use my laptop while there. A few other people said the same. One staff member in particular was very rude and unhelpful which was a shame as the other two were nice. Rooms very small and no lockers for your bag. They had only a small safe behind the counter. Breakfast is very basic and the lockout between 11am and 3pm is not ideal.

Liked: There was a kitchen and breakfast available. There was free wifi, although it was only in the lobby.
Disliked: The wifi was only available in the lobby, which wasn't too bad. The bathrooms are average; the shower doesn't exactly have a showerhead but I don't know if that's normal or not. It's fairly basic, not too bad.
