Liked: good location, near the train station.

Disliked: the kitchen and reception only open from 9-23. which is not very convenient. without entertainment room for people to meet each other and share. kitchen opens at 9 is not very convenient for people who wants to go out earlier. the water for bath is not hot enough.

Liked: Very nice hostel! It's close to the train station and in the middle of the city center. The people who run the hostel are very nice, friendly and helpfull!! Rooms were clean and nice. Really enjoyed our stay here, and we would recommend it! Next time we'll come back here as well :) Good hostel!!

Disliked: Bit far from the bars, like Wayne's, but you can easily walk it. Not too many toilets and showers.. but that was not a problem. :)

Liked: I met lots of great people.

Disliked: They have a kitchen but no spices. The kettle is so disgusting I didn't want to use it. Pillows falling apart, blanket also falling apart. 20 EURO KEY DEPOSIT!!!! And the women kept going on about how 'if I lose HER key....' Well ma'am I did not lose your key but you did lose my business. 20 euro deposit for a backpacker is just too much, especially for a 12 euro/night room....

Liked: Everything was very clean, and there is a good kitchen. Location is very good: short walk from Gare Nice Ville took less than 5 minutes.

Disliked: Hot bathing water was not hot, and the FREE luggage room was not free: it took me 1€

Liked: The Hostel is very clean and the staff is very kind and helpful. Beds are very comfortable.

Disliked: In some rooms there is no wardrobe.

Liked: The location is really good, for both the train & the old city. There was a fridge & microwave in the room, which meant that no one stole our food! The staff were quite friendly (& spoke good english).

Disliked: WORST PILLOWS EVER! And it was very light at night from the street lights (the curtains aren't great). It was very hot in our room, which wasn't too bad because it was winter, but I imagine would be hellish in summer.

Liked: Central location.

Disliked: There were bedbugs in the room. They told the girl who was totally bitten that "it must have been must have been mosquitoes" even though it was clear it wasn't it! Everyone in the room got bitten 2 nights one after another, and they were still receiving more people in the dorm without making sure it was clean.

Liked: Hotel Pastoral was very good. We rely on hostelbookers a lot to choose where we stay, so I want to give helpful comments for others. It is in great location, right off the main street and very close to the station and trams. . It has great facilities, with a fridge and microwave in every room and the kitchen was really useful, except it did close late at night, so don't wait until too late. The wifi in the rooms was really good!! The luggage room is safe and secure, however if you leave your bags there after check out there is a 2 euro fee. The rooms were clean and new and the shower seemed to be brand new, there was no where to hang the shower head which was a bit of a hassle, but nothing major. The staff are friendly and helpful and it was a great place to stay - our favourite so far!

Disliked: The only thing was there was a bit of construction going on in the hotel, but that wasn't really a problem. The base of the taps in the shower got extremely hot and I burnt myself.

Liked: Good location, helpful and friendly staff.

Disliked: Not a lot of toilet facilities (our room had ensuite shower but no toilets, we could use two that were shared by other rooms). Wasn't a problem but I think there may be rare cases when it could be! Not a big issue really.

Liked: It's in Nice.

Disliked: The only common area is a freezing cold and dirty kitchen and an awful patio outside it. There are only a couple stools inthe kitchen. It's really not a common area at all. It's just a freezing cold dirty kitchen. I didn't cook because all the pans and utensils were disgusting. They have a pay-machine for coffee if you think instant coffee is coffee. Thre are no lockers. Also, workmen were drilling and hammering every day.

Liked: Only stayed one night. Good location close to local airport bus at the trainstation and in the city.

Liked: Location is really really good, but the Nice is not that big so I would not make it the main criteria for the 2nd time. The rooms are big. Showers are fairly clean and the water is really really hot.

Disliked: 17EUR/night is a lot if compared to other hostels in Nice where you have breakfast and computer room included. No place for common hanging out.

Liked: Location great - close to train station and major shopping district in Nice. Double room with bathroom was quiet roomy for 2 people

Disliked: Bed was swayed inwards which hurt our backs and made it a little hard to sleep some times

Liked: The beds were comfy, the staff was excellent, and the location is quite good in my opinion. It was definitely a good value. The free wifi was nice, and several locked doors between the public and my room were nice as well.

Disliked: I didn't really like using metal keys, and there could be more cooking utensils...but that`s all. Very good place.
