Liked: The staff there are really friendly and helpful. They also offer free map with detailed travelling info at the reception, which is very easy to use and follow. Some staff (?) try to sell their adventure tours at the common area, but even if you don't join the tours, they are really helpful in providing travelling info~! Extremely close to the visiting points in Nice, with shopping areas & a huge supermarket nearby :)

Disliked: A little bit far away from the station. Also, I booked a 5 bed female dorm but they gave me a 13 bed female dorm when I arrived and forgot to deduct my paid deposit when I pay the bill.... I found this out after I left the hostel....

Liked: This is probably the cleanest and most well thought-out hostel I have been to in a long time. The showers are bliss, The breakfast is a great start to the day and the atmosphere is really good. Couldn't stop meeting people and making new friends!

Disliked: The music that plays in the bar pumps until about 2am, it travels throughout the hostel and if you want to sleep before this time, its hard. Earplugs are reccomended. Also its a bit of a party house, so expect drunk people to come crashing into the room at all hours of the night (and morning)

Liked: I loved that there are computers available with internet (although those coming from America be warned that the internet will sometimes be slow compared to what we have, it cuts in & out and the wi-fi is almost non-existent on higher floors). I like that they safely keep your valuables under lock and key. They have a chef that cooks different meals every night and the bar serves drinks at reasonable prices. The TV room is well equipped with a LED tv and comfy couches. Coffee, hot chocolate and tea is available day and night which is a good thing.

Disliked: I disliked that anyone can come in & out the hostel, I overheard 2 different instances where people found random people sleeping in their bed. I was also victim to that. One girl had her bag stolen and another (who was sleeping with the ipad next to her head) had her Ipad stolen. I myself had some clothes stolen. Therefore be careful and make sure you have locks on each and every bag and NEVER leave valuables in the room at any point. The cups, glasses, dishes and utensiles were often dirty which is gross. Often times i would have to wash it again. The shower curtain in the bathroom is too small for the bath which is pretty ridiculous since shower curtains cost 5Euros. The Breakfast SUCKS, sorry it does. It is simply cereal (mostly filled with sugar), bread and juice. The fridges are small and oftenly overbooked. They have only one kitchen which is used for both the chef and guests which can get very annoying. They often run out of food when cooking dinners evenings. The luggage storage key is placed out in the open which means anyone can come in and out. They should have a schedule board that gets updated daily with how many people filled activities such as Canyoning, Scuba Diving and when the yoga classes are. Reception is often overcrowded and the staff is overwhelmed. They have one person handling the bookings, the check-ins and all the questions... Not cool since not many people available when you need them.

Liked: *The Villa is in a really good location, close to the promenade, transport, shops and easy to find if you get lost. * Staff were really friendly, quiet informative about transport, things to do, etc * I slept really well, the beds are pretty comfortable. Although rooms get stuffy and hot at nighty * I was a bit hesitant about letting someone else wash my clothes, but they came back just fine ( really convienient for 7 euros ) * 3.50 euro cocktails at happy hour, what more could you want? Nice is definitely worth visiting.

Disliked: When I arrived to check in I was told that there had been a mistake with my booking, and that rather than the five nights I had booked they only had enough beds for me to stay for two nights. After travelling for 6 hours I wasn't super impressed by this, or the manner of the girl at reception who told me I'd have to find another hostel ( all of the other reception staff were lovely though ) . The next day the manager sorted it out and I could stay by changing rooms so it was all good in the end.

Liked: Just overall, it was a pretty great hostel to stay in. The staff were great for helping you figure out what to do and how to get places, the bar was a really good place to start the evening and chill out, free towels were amazing (I'd forgotten to take any with me my whole trip), and for 7€ they did my washing for me, which is cheaper than all the laundrettes I've seen in France (washing and drying). I also went on the walking tour and it was actually super cool, and a really good way to start off the day (if you're not too hungover like I was, you have time to go and look round the fruit and flower market and for a wander along the coast before the tour, too!) The hostel and the area were so much fun, in fact, I stayed an extra night... I would have stayed more if I'd had time!

Disliked: Really, I can't think of anything bad. If there was a little problem in the room, the manager came and saw to it. The only thing I would make different would be a larger selection of teabags (at least at breakfast), as they only had Lipton Yellow Label - but I always take my own tea travelling with me anyway!

Liked: The atmosphere is really nice and they have free towels! Their location is perfect. It's within walking distance from the train station and the beach. I went on one of their free walking tours on Wednesdays and I think Fridays (don't quote me on that) and the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgable. The drinks at the bar are really tasty and dinner was way better than I expected for a really good price. I would definitely stay here again. They also offer excursions every day, which looked so interesting although I wasn't in Nice for long enough to take advantage of them.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: great great great all around! Great location, free tour of nice. Good breakfast along with a great bar. Rooms are comfortable..definitely recommend the hostel!

Disliked: everything was good, except a little disorganized with their booking system. Problems are fixed very quickly..

Liked: location, wifi available in the room

Disliked: Check-in time is meaningless.It's written at 14:00. But when I went to the hostel at 14:00, I couldn't check-in.I had to wait for 3 hours!! I was really tired... and the bath room is only 1 for 13 people, it's difficult to use. No locker. My cosmetics, towel and so on..were used by someone. My bed were very dirty when I come back the hostel.

Liked: The staff are friendly and they are willing to give great advice on where to go around Nice. They provide thick duvets, free towels, free breakfast between 7:30am-!0:30am, free coffee/drink at any time of the day and guests are also free to watch TV or use their computers.

Disliked: The cleanliness needs a bit of work. Kitchen utensils are often greasy and the sink in the kitchen is often clogged.

Liked: Location is great and so is the free coffee and tea.

Disliked: It was very dirty and stuffy. The girls' room was windowless and had no ventilation. With 6 people in a small room it made it unbearable. The bathroom was ok but disliked the fact that there was one shower and toilet for 15 people. Also, there was only one plug in the entire room which made it very difficult and inconvenient. Also, kitchen was nasty

Liked: I must say I have always had this fear of hostels, after they made a scary movie about them (Hostel), but I must say this hostel changed my entire prespective. This hostel was totally amazing, and really gave great value for money. It has a fun vibe to it, with their bar, their piano and couches in the lounge, and their computers with free internet and wifi access on the ground floor. I got myself a great night worth of sleep at Villa Saint Exupery Beach and the following morning, I woke up fresh and ready for my 2 minute walk through Place Massena to see the sun rise over the sea. Knowing myself as a super picky person and being very hard to please, I would go so far as to say that I would pick this hostel over a hotel in Nice. You not only have a great place to stay, but also the chance to meet new people / friends and get great tips on where to find the most affordable places to stay on the next parts of your journey, which is invaluable. Not to mention they also have a great location close to the bus stop, where you can take the 100 bus all the way to Monaco, or 200 bus all the way to Cannes for 1 euros per trip!

Disliked: I was sleeping on the first floor, and can hear a bit of noise from the bar late at night. But then again, I was pretty tired from all the walking done during the day in Nice, so it didn't bother me so much and I fell asleep close to 12. The bar closes at 12 anyway, so the noise stopped eventually.

Liked: Very central position, close to shops, the beach, the old town, public transport & restaurants. Breakfast included. Free wi-fi. Female only dorm. No need to be a member of any particular association.

Disliked: Too expensive in high season.
