Swee Huang Teoguy running the place was a very friendly and helpful man! he's probably the only one who's been ready to welcome me in all the hostels i've been! hostel was at the end of the street, diagonally across from a supermarket. near the main streets so you could get to the main city centre and beaches pretty easily. relatively safe neighbourhood. free wifi but didn't work on the 2nd floor... but had a lovely stay. well worth the cost. :) |

Customer reviewIt was cheap and close to the train station but sadly let down by rude staff and poor cleaning. The rubbish bin in our room remained unemptied and overflowing for 3 days. The toilets smell like urine and there was no taps to wash your hands after the toilet!! The door knob kept falling off and the floors hadn't seen a mop or vacuum in weeks I suspect. The whole place seemed dirty. |

Jessica O'BrienThis hostel was really clean, it was very private as it is located in a building of flats so it is not a 'typical' hostel. The location was great, just near the train station. There was a fridge in the room, but no where to cook. Also, if you want to meet lots of people, this not the place. But I stayed there a week and I would stay there again if I returned to Nice. |

Customer reviewFrom the reviews about this place we were expecting a complete dive! Its really not that bad. Its very basic and there's no common room or kitchen so not similar to a lot of hostels. We stayed in a fairly spacious 4 bed room with a fridge, table, sink and mirror, which is better than we expected! Had to sit in the hallway for the wifi to work and you get given toilet paper when you arrive. There is a €20 euro key deposit, which we didn't know about; either that or you can leave your passport. Its not a hole, though if you have other options in Nice and are willing to pay more, than book somewhere else! |

Customer reviewThe studio where we stayed is very confortable. The railway is close to the hostel, so when we open the window it gets really noisy. If you don't mind that, I'd recommend this hostel. |

Christine ReaThere is one fitted sheet, no top sheets or anything. The toilet on our floor was broken the first night. The staff was pretty nice and it was very safe. |

Richard AtlasTerrible. We were put in a closet for the first night because they had ''overbooked'', as they did with the next 3 groups of people coming in. One shower (which was broken and dirty and overflowed), the one sink in the bathroom didnt work, the staff (the one guy running the hostel) was not friendly (even though we speak french). Terrible. |

Bradleigh JonesNot a lot! Benefits included a code for the door but the attitudes of the staff was poor and the room was dirty. Our sheets were only changed once during our 10 day visit! The shower was filthy and had to be cleaned. |

Matt TaylorThis had to be the worst place we stayed in Europe! We paid a decent amount of money to stay in a dorm that was supposed to have a shower but didnt. Reception was a closed off part of the hotel seperate to the dorms, you had to ring a doorbell and wait. I wasnt made to feel welcome to ask questions or speak to reception at all. The window of our room opened onto the balcony that is used by residents, as such there was a lot of noise (seriously a lot). The beds have just a base sheet and nothing more, they dont mention it to you at all but you can rent a sheet or blanket for 1 euro. The bathroom had a toilet, no seat, no toilet paper, the taps were cemented shut (you had to use the sink in your room), the shower was yuck! and the taps broken. The water was a luke warm dribble at best. Also on our first night there the light in the toilet died, despite us mentioning it straight away, they still hadnt replaced it when we left which made going to the toilet after dark very difficult. When we arrived all the beds in our dorm looked as if they had been used and all they did was straighten them out for us, not replace the sheets. Nowhere at all in the room for bags, the rooms were small and the bags had to go in the strip between the two bunks which made getting in and out of the room like an obstacle course. Wasnt in a very good end of town either, little bit dodgy after dark. Loudest bunkbeds in the entire world. If you arent fussy in ANY sense of the word, then I guess this place is okay for you, otherwise, maybe give it a miss. |
