Liked: this place was cheap and comfortable with a kitchen, two tables for a sitting area in the room and a good bathroom.

Disliked: the staff were helpful - sometimes a little too much. would come in to change bed linen and talk to you while you were trying sleep, or come in and talk to you when your friend had already told them you were sick in bed and trying to sleep when they inquired after you. really dodgy area - would not recommend females travelling alone to stay here. as a woman i would not walk round the streets near here by myself at night. is ok if you are with your boyfriend/friends though. I think it is just dodgy because it is so close to the train station - Nice was not dodgy generally. there are basically no utensils etc in the kitchen so bring your own. also not 100% sure that the blankets are washed after each person uses them - i didn't have a problem (no bed bugs) but still....

Liked: This hostel was great value for money with a great location and friendly, helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone.

Disliked: No kitchen, only private microwave and limited utensils !

Liked: All in all a city hostel for the price/value ratio was right in any case.Saff made me feel very welcome will stay there again.

Liked: Great location, good hotel. Haven't compared it to other Nice hostels but seemed an ideal place to stay,very good price/value.Super friendly guy on reception is helping you with all your needs.

Disliked: nothing to say.

Liked: Very friendly staff, close to the train station, fridge and microwaves in room, clean.

Disliked: in a more sketchy part of town, seemed safe but not pretty. Walking distance to everything.

Liked: Super cheap! Close to train station but about a 20 min. walk from bars, etc. I was with one other friend and had the entire room to ourself which was awesome!! Definitely worth every penny. Felt like a hotel because our room was empty. Clean and comfortable beds.

Disliked: The room may have been awkward and crowded if fully booked. There was a microwave and dishes available but have to wash them with hands in the bathroom. Didn't see any sort of "kitchen". Super market that is close was weird and didn't have much of a selection.

Liked: The atmosphere and character. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The location. The cleanliness. The facilities and services on offer. The safety and security. The value for money.

Disliked: The internet and its funny habits.

Liked: This place is super close to the train station and about a ten minute walk to the old town, perfect location, right across the street from a supermarket.

Disliked: There is no common area to meet other travellers, but I've been told this is coming (the owner is renovating), but on the plus side my room had a kitchenette attached so that made it cheaper.

Liked: Es war zwar nur ein Kurzaufenthalt aber sehr gut.Altea Hostel hat eine gute Lage der Bahnhof Nizza ist nur 5 Minuten entfernt. Die Zimmer waren hell und sauber und die Betten gemütlich. Das Personal sehr freundlich für die tolle Beratung, zwecks Shoppen, Ausgehen und Sehenswürdigkeiten besichtigen, bedanke ich mich hiermit noch einmal herzlich!

Disliked: nichts zu beklagen.

Liked: A clean and welcoming place that is easy to find and located very near to a laundromat. The kitchen in our hostel room was a great way to save a few euros.

Disliked: When it comes to food, the Lidl store downstairs offers little variety.

Liked: extremely friendly staff when arriving you get a free map of Nice , clean spacious rooms, free wifi in room excellent location not far away from old town and main sights incl. beach et restaurant's, only a short walk to the main train station as well.

Disliked: nice stay

Liked: We were arriving really early, and when we arrived at 9am, our room was ready for us. This meant we could have a lie down before we went out to the beach. The staff at reception were really welocoming,we booked only one night but they let us stay in the same room for two more nights .The hotel is right near the Station, the Chagallmuseum and the Russian Church. I would definitely stay there again.

Disliked: no kitchen,only microwave.

Liked: The people were actually really friendly contrary to what other comments have said, excellent internet, cheap groceries accross the road, close to the train station, microwave and fridge provided. Very good value for money in Nice.

Disliked: Had to wash plates in the bathroom which got a bit awkward with other room mates who would pile dirty plates up in the bathroom (not really the hostels fault). Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but still managable. We had sleeping bags so the no sheets thing was fine for us but could be a problem for others (a pillow and bottom sheet are provided)

Liked: The staff were extremely friendly and would go out of their way to help and please their guests. The room was always clean but a bit moldy after shower. The staff could all speak a variety of foreign languages, including english, french, german and even same Korean. The beach is very close 15 minutes and the Train station 5 min.There was as well a hostel party with all the Guest’s lovely.

Disliked: bit noisy from the trains passing by.

Liked: The price of this place is great, the owner was very helpful and was located close enough to the main train station - good for day trips to Cannes and Monaco. Close enough to the main shopping street as well. Being Across the road from the supermarket was good aswell

Disliked: It is a good 20 minute walk to the beach but still located in a safe enough area. There is no common room or facilities available but for the price you don't expect this
