Hannah WhitfieldWe stayed in the hostel's studio apartment just a few doors down from the other rooms, which had just been renovated - everything worked and it has everything you need, washing machine, full kitchen, etc. Perfect location in the old district of Nice 'Vieille Ville', surrounded by other old apartments, shops, restaurants, pubs, and a short walk from the sea... surprisingly little tourists around. Free wi-fi access and computers in the hostel's main building. The owners are great and very helpful. awesome place |

thomas poulsenthe location is excellent and the staff great as well. if you book in the dormitory it can be a bit crowded at times but you have the option the book a 2-person room next to the dorm aswell(using the same facilities as the dorm) - its a bit noisy so bring ear-plugs. however you have an even better option if you like a bit of privacy and less noise. the hostel has a small studio - being fixed at the moment, but still availeble. this room has toilet ensuite and own kitchen and is located just few steps away from the hostel in the same great location in the old town. i myself is a light sleeper and like privacy thus I stayed at the studio -you pay a little extra but for me it was worth it. the enthusiasm of the the owner/staff is excellent - always smiling and helpfull. |

Vicki YoungThis place was super fun and the layout makes it super easy to meet people. The bunk beds were great (after staying in so many hostels where you can't sit up on the bottom bunk...it was soooo amazing to have so much room to sit up on the bottom bunk). The hostel is a bit cramped but being in a super location makes up for that. However, you better be ready to party, be a deep sleeper or have an ipod because at night (10pm-4am ish) the noise from old town is insane!!! I would still stay here again for sure though, super close to tram and beach and its right in old town, which is such a wonderful part of Nice. |

Customer reviewThe staff and owners of Hostel Smith are SO accommodating! They really try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location could not get any better- right in the center of Villeux Nice (Old Town) and a 5 minute walk to the beach and major Promenade. Only minutes walk to the main shopping area of Nice and 10 minutes to the train station. There is also a tram stop 2 minutes away from the hostel and the tram is only 1 euro to ride, which is very useful when we were going to the train station with our heavy packs. |

Shelby JohnsonIt is in old town Nice and really close to the beach. There are shops and pubs all over. It is close to the tram so easy to jet around town. I really enjoyed the staff and the other people staying. So much that I booked an extra night! |

Customer reviewIt is a good value for money if you consider it is right in the centre of Old Nice town (10min walk from the beach). However, we stayed in the double room and it was NOT ensuite as indicated, the room felt poorly looked after and was very minimal. It was fine just to sleep but wasn't particularly attractive, but what can you really ask for in that location for that price. Staff was nice but the hostel is very noisy, and people come and go at all times of day and night. Bring your earplugs if you want to get any sleep! However the kitchen was useful and people friendly. |

Luke HaynesIt was a fantastic way to meet new people and the owners spoke perfect english and were really helpful and friendly. As a first-time hosteller, I was a bit worried about staying in a hostel because of cleanliness issues but the bed linen was changed every day, the bathrooms were really nice and clean and the kitchen was lovely too. Location was also great, in the middle of the gorgeous Old Town, close to the Chateau Hill walk and a short, simple walk to the beach, market, restaurants etc. Really can't give this hostel a high enough review, particularly for the price which was fantastic value- definitely stay here! |

Customer reviewIf you arrive at the hostel later than planned you need to let them know. You will find that they leave around 5:00pm and you need to hope there is someone staying in the hostel to let you in. when we got there we'd e-mnailed 3 times saying we were going to be arriving late, there was no staff there when we got there so other people staying htere let us in. We found a number for the hostel which went through to franks mobile and he came to check us in to our room at around 11:00pm While there you must try the ice cream |

Customer reviewThe hostel is very small. It was quite clean, but we couldn't sleep there, as the others visitors were very loud till 2 a.m. I think it's good if you book the whole hostel and spend there time with your friends. There is no car park near the hostel, which is quite difficult if you have a lot of luggage and a car. |

Emily BruceFirstly the location of this hostel is so convenient ideally situated just opposite the train station and at the top of the main road Jean Medecin. There's a tram stop just down from the entrance to the hostel, a very handy laundrette just around the corner and a new mini supermarket just opened right next door! Some things that particularly impresssed me were the internet and leisure facilities in the chill-out room, the kitchen and garden which enabled us to self-cater (much cheaper than eating out everyday!) and how clean the rooms were. All staff speak very good English and are extremely friendly and welcoming. Would definately recommend this hostel to friends and other travellers x |

Customer reviewThe kitchen with a big tv was the best part. Also the free internet. It's not too quiet in this hostel with so many partypeople staying there - including the guy who worked there. And when this guy decided to go out for one night the owners asked us (the guests) to welcome the late comers to the hostel and show them around....which was not that cool I think because we were paying for staying there as guests - not working there. |

Customer reviewWe are really really satisfied with our stay at this Hostel. It's really easy here to get to know new people though you sleep together with 18 people in the same room. But we thought it was a lot of fun to do it and it worked out for us. The location is great just in the middle of the old town and close to the beach. The stuff was really kind and helpful and offered us a boat trip. They do have a good kitchen too so you can easily cook for your self. |

Lachlan McKenzieGreat place in a great location, friendly staff who were on hand to assist whenever we needed to know something. Internet access was a huge plus as well, especially if it's included in the cost. Good kitchen area to meet the other guests and it was kept very clean and tidy. Best place ive stayed. |
