Liked: Good for the price. The Staff is super friendly and i liked the community area they provide.

Disliked: Breakfast was basically just cereal and juice - so compared to other hotels that include breakfast it was a little slim, but still good. The water temperature in the shower was very hard to control and the shower head was broken.

Liked: The staff were excellent. Sophia & Gig were extremely helpful and very knowledgable about the local area and were able to recommend the best bars and restaurants for us to visit. The friendlyness and helpfulness of the staff made our 6 night stay very enjoyable. The level of service received was far better than expected and I will definitely return with my friends next year. Thankyou for a great stay at Mayerbeer Beach Hotel.

Disliked: Security could be better. The main front door did not lock and I heard that 2 people had bags stolen???.

Liked: I liked how close it was to the beach. I also liked that it had free wifi. Six bedroom was great and comfortable.

Disliked: The breakfast was a joke. It is supposed to be served from 8-11 am and you get out there at 9 and everything is gone plus the milk is warm. This happened everyday we stayed here.

Liked: Great location, bed was fine, room had a window & free wifi.

Disliked: Would have liked it if the en suite bathroom was cleaned daily which it was not. it was cleaned during my stay just not at all the first two days. Common area was a little too small to be able to sit and mingle/meet others. Always felt like I was in someone's way. Was not too impressed when I woke a french man up at 7.30 in the morning who was sleeping at the entrance to the common area/kitchen to be yelled at that the common area was closed off. I just wanted to cut a bread roll in half so I could stuff it with some food I bought and be on my way for the day. Anyway you learn these things after the first day but it didn't leave the greatest impression.

Liked: really nice place. the free wifi throughout was really nice. Very friendly staff.

Disliked: The bathroom was a little dank and had a funny odor.

Liked: Great atomosphere, clean and awesome facilities.

Disliked: A little loud at night with other guests, but curfew at 12 worked out fine.

Liked: Excellent staff...friendly and helpful. Contemporary rooms and communal areas and handy location to both beach and train station. Very hospitable and a lot of complimentary perks such as free internet, and have set the right environment for meeting other travellers. Everyone seemed stoked about the hostel.

Disliked: Small kitchen facilities - only one oven, stove and small fridge to serve all guests...meant long waiting times to cook during evenings. Other than that no complaints

Liked: cold room-electric heater.bathroom not clean and awful towels. very small room for the three of us. smelly entrance of the building. the reception is the only nice space. there is shared kitchen and shared livingroom. and helpful staff.

Disliked: small room . dirty bathroom and room. cold room.

Liked: Nothing. Maybe just that they have a Playstation 3 so you can use when you're really bored.

Disliked: Lousy beds, lack of lockers, poor shower, dirty rooms, poor kitchen with only 4 stoves, pathetic breakfast

Liked: Nice cozy place. staffs were very friendly common kitchen was very clean and new. they provided free pasta and beer one night. not to mention that location is great!! would go back again

Disliked: I felt that 8bed dorm was bit tight and they close common hanging out area at 12AM

Liked: Friendly staff and good location.

Disliked: The carpet in my unrenovated room was disgusting. Shower was very small, had no pressure and leaked water everywhere.

Liked: It was close to the beach and the lobby was nice.

Disliked: The room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty. And the room was way to hot and it was muggy in the room because of the bathroom.

Liked: Nice lobby and kitchen but deceiving as you think the rest of the hostel will look like that when it doesn't.

Disliked: The room was old, the hallway was cold and dirty. The room smelt, the beds were falling apart and very squeaky and the room was extremely small.

Liked: Very nice kitchen...don't be fooled by the perfectly furnished 1st floor. The condition in the 8 bed room is otherwise. However, this is a nice budget place to go, offering warm bed and shower.

Disliked: The hot water is insufficient! Have no idea how they can let so many people taking freezing water shower. Today you might get the chance to enjoy the hot water (though the water is not strong), tomorrow you might have to face a choice between cold water or wake up early to shower.

Liked: It's one of the best hostel i've been. Really very nice. They are making over all the hostel and it's very nice. People very helpfulness and gentle. Cleanliness perfect.

Liked: It is just going through a refurb and looks amazing, realy modern with Sensored Lights, Brand new computers, living area and Kitchen.

Disliked: My room hadn't been refurbed yet, but I wouldn't say I disliked the room.

Liked: Easy walk from train station, Very close to the beach front was best feature.

Disliked: Property was under renovation and really not suitable for clients. Shower heads had to be hand held making shower a chore, had to walk around worker and mess

Liked: The hotel is in a really central location close to the promenade, lots of restaurants and shopping. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, and the room was clean, each bed had individual reading lights, and there was also a kitchenette, although I didn't use it.

Disliked: The room was slightly dark due to its orientation but that is only a small complaint.
