Liked: I liked the environment the most, including the large common area, beautiful gardens, and the rooms. I also liked the services offered, such as full kitchen, free internet, laundry, free breakfast, and so forth. It was overall a very nice stay.

Disliked: However, there was one encounter I had with the owner that left a sour taste in my mouth. There was an international piano competition in town, and all of the contestants were staying at the hostel. Cool. But after the competition, they came back to the hostel and started playing the piano at midnight. My room was on the other side of the wall, so it was fairly loud, even with earplugs in. I was in bed reading at the time, and didn't mind it at first, since they were very good. But at around 12:30, I was trying to get to sleep, but they were still playing. So I came down to ask the owner if they could please stop, since it was so late and I was having trouble sleeping with the noise. First, he made an absurd suggestion that they move me to a different room. When I told him that was a ridiculous suggestion because all my stuff was unpacked in the room and it was very late, he got defensive, and actually said to me, "Well, there's one of you against 50 of us. So good luck trying to convince them to stop." I was shocked at his rudeness and left before I said something I would regret. I don't think I was being unreasonable in my request, and I did ask in a nice way. His response was completely uncalled for and was a stark blemish on a stay that was otherwise very pleasant.

Liked: The hostel is great, huge common area, good breakfast, and lots of computers. They also offer several tours from the hostel to the villages around Nice, and lots of fun adventure tours. Great work. Although its not in the centre of town there are regular free shuttles to the tram service which goes straight into the centre.

Liked: Everything, it is an awesome place to stay and meet people. The kitchen is great.

Disliked: It is a little far from city center and the beach, but they pick you up from a rail stop.

Liked: Great staff who helped out with advice on the strikes. Great kitchen and dining area. Free wifi that reached the rooms and new computers in the main hang out area. Great breakfast and lots of actvities available that they cab organise for you in the area. A fantastic view of Nice!

Disliked: It's a bit far away from th shops and beach and te shuttle to the tran stop only runs in the morning and night. It was even harder because of the strikes, the trams weren't running but the staff dropped us off closer to town then so that was very good of them!

Liked: good wifi reception, folks working there were pretty nice

Disliked: the shower room doesn't get much fresh air and steam just stays in there- saw a lot of mold. the location is a pain in the butt.

Liked: It was in such a lovely setting. To sit outside in the gardens drinking well priced wine and just people watching was a holiday in itself.The staff were great,friendly and helpful.The organisation was impressive and the shuttle bus to the trams excellent

Liked: Nice hostel, clean and tidy rooms, excellent bar and staff. They have staff to help you where to go and what are the best options. Lots of computer and free internet. they do the laundry for you, you don need to worry about waiting your laundry to be done. Each day they have a diferent kind of food. The only bad thing is the location but they come to get you with their white van.

Liked: Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. The hostel was clean and everything was well thought out- a large common room with Internet 24/7, bar with cheap drinks, minibus service to the tram stops. An ideal hostel!

Disliked: nothing, it was ideal for my 3 night stay in Nice.

Liked: the rooms and linen were clean

Disliked: had to catch mini bus to nice, we booked a 4 bed dorm didn't get it. Even though St Exupery was up on the hill there was no view.

Liked: The staff were very helpful and friendly. One staff member Ashley even recommended great accommodations and advice regarding the next city we were to visit. Great atmosphere for meeting people.

Disliked: Location was not ideal but the friendly staff and excellent facilities far out weighed that concern.

Liked: the bar

Disliked: Our room was dirty, the sheets and pillow cases were dirty, the sink in the bathroom was blocked and the dirty water stayed in the sink making the bathroom smell. When i tried to sleep on the bed it broke, the bed quality is shocking.
