Liked: Free breakfast and free shuttle to the tram.

Disliked: almost everything. The staff were not forthcoming about important info so if you had never stayed there you would have no idea what to do or where to go. The hours of the outside area were posted as quiet time is at 10pm but there was loud talking, screaming and slamming of doors until the wee hours of the morning. If you were 20 you might like this place but for more mature travelers who enjoy getting sleep my suggestion is to stay elsewhere.

Liked: they've really thought of everything, from free internet to shuttle bus to free coffee and tea to cheap supper options.

Disliked: because the bar is pretty central in the hostel, noise carries and its pretty loud until late at night.

Liked: This hostel is amazing. The staff is great and the atmosphere is just awesome. Worth the stay.

Disliked: The only thing I did not like is that it's not close to the tram stop but the shuttles are amazing.

Liked: It was awesome, the bar was cheap and fun to meet people, the rooms were so nice and clean and I can't believe we got everything for so cheap. The staff was so friendly.

Disliked: A little far from the beach.

Liked: There are people who know how to run hostels, and people that don't. The Villa Saint Exupery hostels (I've stayed at both the Gardens and Beach locations) are run by people that run a DAMN good show. I ended up staying for a total of 6 days at both locations, four more days than I had planned on.

Disliked: Would be awesome if the location was a bit closer to town, or if shuttles ran between 12 PM and 5 PM as well. Having to be quiet outside after 10 PM was a bit of a bummer as well, but I'm sure the neighbors appreciate it. I think the hostel needs sort of a semi-outdoor covered smoking area so people could still be loud "outside" and not disturb neighbors or sleeping guests.

Liked: Gardens were beautiful, great views, fun atmosphere, fantastic bar, clean & tidy dorms and bathrooms... what's not to love! Best hostel I've ever stayed at. Just make sure you wait for the free shuttle service at the tram stop to get you up the hill to the Villa! Otherwise, its an arduous walk with your luggage!

Liked: While one female staff member was notably unfriendly and unhelpful, the majority were really accomodating. Upon arrival, we were told that our 8 person room we booked wasn't available, but we were given a 14 person room for 3 nights and a 4 person room for 2 nights for the same rate. When we switched to the 4 person room and discovered 50 year old men staying in it, they allowed us to switch to a 2 person private room for only 2 euros total (for both people, both nights).

Disliked: Huge party atmosphere - even for travellers like us who want to meet people, it was too much like a frat party scene in the common room every night. It wasn't uncommon to find vomit in the bathrooms in the morning from all the binge drinking the night before. On the upside, the sleeping rooms were usually more quiet, but that might depend on where in the building you were.

Liked: Staff very friendly, nice surroundings

Disliked: Heavy flow of people, bathrooms insufficient. The toilet can do with a small basin. Very noisy at night.

Liked: Staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms are decent. There is a free carpark although you have to leave keys with staff. Very cheap international calls.

Disliked: The property was larger than expected so there's a lot happening all the time. The hostel was a little out of the way even though there is a shuttle bus to take you to a tram stop at certain times of the day.

Liked: The friendly nature of the staff as well as the variety of facilities/excursions on offer. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of cereal at breakfast :D They cater for both self-service (kitchen) as well as the restaurant.

Liked: Lots of things to do and excellent atmosphere in bar.

Disliked: Bit of a pain to get the shuttle bus from the tram especially at night when it finishes at 12.

Liked: Location was nice...kind of far from the beach but the shuttle came every 15 minutes and it never inhibited us from getting anywhere. We accidentally booked the wrong nights, but the staff was able to accommodate us when we showed up one night early anyway which was very appreciated. The food at the hostel is pretty good too, and very well priced.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The staff is really frindly and helpfull, but the reception is almost all the time busy. the breakfast is good (but not legendary as they say), the price of drinks and food is good. the shuttle bus is something really necessary, due the horrible location

Disliked: lack of cleaness, bad location, lack of bathrooms. i don't understand why this hostel is so prizes and so complimented for visitors. it is just average! best in france? i can't imagine the bad ones...

Liked: The breakfast was amazing for the fact that it was free; so many different choices of cereal and bread. It was also a great place to meet people from all over and I always felt like it was very safe which was nice as I was travelling alone. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, overall it was a great stay.

Disliked: The only slight negative is the location however the hostel provides a shuttle and the walk really isn't that bad, I guess there really isn't anything bad to say about this hostel.

Liked: really nice place to meet people, a lot of services, nice tour and activities propose

Disliked: too big dorm, only 2 shower (2 for girls 2 for boys) for a lot of people on the same floor, same thing for the toilet. Far from the beach and nice center (but in tram is good...)

Liked: Extraordinary helpfulness of staff.

Disliked: Location a bit distant from all the things to see and do BUT the staff shuttle people to/from the tram into town every 15 min. and in the end the special atmosphere of the place more than made up for the bit of extra effort to get places.

Liked: really helpful staff, fantastic atmosphere, moved rooms easily when there was a problem, great bar and restaurant, comfy, secure. great shuttle bus at most times to tram stop, which is only a 10min walk away anyway.

Disliked: smoke drifted into my room but i was moved when i said it bothered me so this was great.. otherwise nothing.
