Liked: Shuttle service was excellent. They transport you every 15 minutes from the nearest tram stop to the front door. A huge plus because the walk is all uphill. Rooms were clean. Front desk service was helpful and very friendly. They actually walk you to your room. The social atmosphere was great along with all the food services.

Disliked: It was a little far away from the main coastline stretch, but all the other aspects make up for it.

Liked: It had a lot of character and the staff were helpful and friendly. The shuttle service was also very useful

Disliked: It was a little out of the way from the Town Centre making it difficult to get back in the evening once the shuttle and tram stopped running.

Liked: Had great views over Nice as well as sea views

Disliked: Was very disappointed in booking a private room and paying the deposit only to find that when I arrived there was no room available and was put in the 13 bed dorm! And prior to that when waiting to check in, they had lost the person passport in front of me.

Liked: Food services and bar was exceptional, larger number of free internet use computers was a great addition too. Selection of breakfast cereals was amazing too.

Disliked: Our room location was terrible, too close to reception and therefore very noisy at all hours of the day. Bathroom also flooded often after 1 person having a shower, which meant we had to mop up water or risk having our stuff soaked as it leaked out into the room very easily.

Liked: The staff is amazing! They'll do anything to help you. Since the hostel is further away in the city there's a shuttle service that takes you to the tram station every 5 minutes. The atmosphere is great and although the party is easily on at Villa Saint-Exupery, it is very quiet for those who wants to sleep.

Disliked: The only thing I disliked was the location.

Liked: The environment on the hostel was perfect for a traveller. Meeting people from all over the world and hearing all kinds of stories from all kinds of cultures is what the bar at the villa is all about. The service they provide at the villa is great. The free shuttle makes the location of the hostel irrevelant because it takes you to the tramway, breakfeast is included in your stay and the friendly staff are happy to help you with any problem you should have. And they listen mindfully if you have a complaint! The activities the villa arrange are brilliant as well. I did the canyoning and went sailing the day after, where I got to see cannes from the ocean. prices i the activities are very cheap compared to other companies doing activities like that.

Disliked: Unfortunately there was only one shower for men on my level(1st) and that shower didn't have any lock, so privacy in the shower was limited. I noticed how moldy the walls in the showers were, they should really do something about that. The staff should consider arranging parties at the hostel.

Liked: The pick up service was very efficient and helpful. The facilities were very good, with free computer and internet use, free towels, good kitchen, and a good bar in the pretty "chapel". The staff were friendly and it was a good place to meet other travelers. the gardens were a lovely place to hang out in the evenings.

Liked: Good to meet people - and that's it.

Disliked: I wouldn't recommend staying in this hostel, because it's too expensive for what's worth. The hostel is really far from the city center, so you always have to rely on their van (that doesn't run all day) or walk a long way up. The toilets and showers are pretty much dirty during the morning when you wake up. The lockers are very small, so a backpack doesn't fit inside. What shocked me the most was that part of the staff doesn't even speak French! French isn't my native language, so I'd like to practice it when I'm in France!!!!

Liked: great atmosphere. cheap, tasty meals. met heaps of nice people. staff were great. everything was clean. can do tours organised by the hostel. bit far out, however there's a free shuttle. didn't end up going out in nice because the hostel was too good. one of the best i've stayed at. recommend it!

Disliked: nothing. just what we wanted.

Liked: Great atmosphere and amazing common areas! Definitely the place to go if you want to meet people. Staff are helpful and the free shuttle bus service is great too.

Disliked: It's expensive (but I guess that's all of Nice) and the 5 bed dorm we were in was quite run down. No lockers in the room either which was a bit of a shame as they seem commonplace in just about every other hostel we've stayed in.

Liked: This is a fun hostel which involves its guests very well if they want to be involved. They have many activities available although they are a little expensive. LOVED the kitchen! We were able to cook alongside the chefs of the hostel, who lent us items from their section of the kitchen if they were lacking in the guests' side of the kitchen. Kitchen was very well-equipped. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hostel. Clean and comfortable rooms with nice views. Cool hostel and property, which was fun to explore, and well-maintained. Shuttle service to the tram was useful, and it was easy to get to the city centre. There was a big fun bar/dining room area which was very conducive to socialising.

Disliked: It was not very french at all! I don't think any of the staff were locals. There tended to be a little too much hand-holding for my taste, but that might be helpful to someone else. The free coffee all day was instant coffee, although I suppose I shouldn't complain because it was free.

Liked: The place was very pretty, situated on the top of a mountain. They had a full functioning kitchen staff to prepare hot meals as well as a bar and offered tea and coffee throughout. The staff was very friendly and outgoing, very well suited with the overall atmosphere of the place which was more youthful so great for backpackers and student travellers.

Disliked: The location was a bit out of that way. I had a hard time finding it for the first time, the directions are pretty straight forward, but it was just quite a way from the airport and I was not completely sure. But the shuttle from the hostel ran pretty frequently to the tram stop so it's not so bad once you settle in.

Liked: The bar and restaurant were cool features, and the computer were a great addition (though almost half were broken in some way). And i loved the book exchange. We didn't participate in any of the trips or activities, but it was great that they did so much work to plan things out for you.

Disliked: Very noisy, our room shared a wall with the bar so there was constant noise, plus the large rooms meant people were constantly coming and going. In addition to that we had staff members yelling at each other right outside our room until 2 am! Don't expect to sleep. Room was fairly cramped and the bathroom was constantly flooded.

Disliked: only comment is that get charged for mini bus if want to get to train station early in the morning so try and leave so that can get free shuttle service and tram.

Liked: Great place to meet people, excursions are amazing and well organised from the hostel. All aspects aside from location are great.

Disliked: Location is far away from Nice central - you must plan your days and nights accordingly else you'll find yourself paying for a £25 taxi at night or forgetting your towel and having to buy a new one else have a 1hr round trip to the hostel. - aside from this it's a great way to meet people and have a good time in Nice.

Liked: It was cool that people from all over the world were there. So you can get in touch very easely. The shuttle bus was very good - without it - we would not have staid there.

Disliked: Our room was very small, we had a room with 2 beds. I think the room was 4 squere meteres big, we really had not enough space. And our toilett was used by several people on the same floor, because the didn't want to use their bathrooms since they were in their rooms. Our was outside of the room. Another problem is, that the hotel is very far away from the city center.

Liked: Its a pretty lively place, with people perpetually at the bar. Including breakfast, computers with internet, towels, and shuttles into the city in the mornings/evenings was fantastic.

Disliked: The computers are in the same room as the bar, so the keyboards are really messed up. The hostel draws a young partying crowd, so it can be hard to sleep if you're getting up early. The bus schedules at the hostel are also completely wrong.
