Liked: Cheap drinks and a nice common area were the upside, as well as free internet and a free shuttle. I feel like, in the off-season for 16 euros this hostel would be reasonable, but I paid 30 per night and I was in a crowded and messy 12 bed dorm, the breakfast consisted of a good selection of ceral and toast (decent, not amazing). The staff don't condone and will talk to you about heavy drinking, despite the fact that they sell euro drinks, and I was told to "Get back inside" because "I didn't have a cigarette" late at night. I can understand where they were coming from, trying to control noise and mess-making, but they didn't have to be rude about it. Not in a great location (up a huge hill and almost as far as the tram can take you away from the waterfront. if you don't manage to catch their shuttle the hill is rough with luggage), not true to le petit prince at all, they were out of free umbrellas and towels so the "free facilities" weren't great either.The little problems, I might have expected at a cheaper hostel, but I was treating myself to an expensive one and I was very disappointed.

Liked: In case it is not clear, the villa is a perfect place to stay if you are the frat party type. The drinks are cheap and the loud common room games of Kings / singalongs to Journey go on through the night. It definitely would be a great place to meet people as these parties go on seemingly all night every night. I did not expect that so it was not the place for me, but if you like that kind of thing it should be a fun time. Other drawbacks are it is somewhat far from the beach / town center, so you have to use the city tram and pickup service a lot which is not always reliable. It also takes a million years to check in or get anything else done at the front desk if the vaguely Australian/British guy is working.

Liked: The food was great, and cheap, was better than going into town to get a meal. And drinks were really cheap. Really nice and comfortable common room to sit, eat, drink and meet people. One of the best hostels me and my friends went to when travelling around Western Europe

Liked: best hostel ever.can be a bit loud if your room is next to the common areas, but otherwise very fun and they offer lots of activities, a special dinner every night and it is all very reasonably priced :)

Liked: Having stayed in many a hostel, Villa Saint Exupery is far and away the best. The staff and facilities offer everything you could ask for from a hostel, free shuttle bus, cheap and awesome food, free towels/laundry, free internet and much more! Just awesome!

Liked: Very fun and lots of things to do... snorkeling, canyoning, etc. It is like a summer camp you will never want to leave. The staff is all in love with the place too, offering lots of great things like shuttles, laundry, etc.

Liked: This is a really great place to meet new people. The common room is huge + they have a bar! The only bad think I can say is that it's a bit far outside the city and on a hill.

Liked: Great atmosphere, the perfect place to meet travelers from around the world. Located a bit away from the sea -in a quiet neighborhood-, but the staff (friendly and English speaking) deal with a lift by minibus to the bus stop, so there is no problem to reach the city center. They also help arrange tours of the Côte d'Azur area - to Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Eze Village, etc.. The great advantage is the 24/7, free internet access, interestingly arranged, the building filled with paintings of French artists and classical music accompanies breakfast in the "chapel". In the evening it turns into a lively meeting place for people from around the globe. We've spent a wonderful time there and definitely recommend it to anyone!

Liked: I only spent one night at the Ville on my way into Monaco and Italy, but was really impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who went out of their way to make my stay comfortable, and make sure everyone had all the information they needed. This was especially great as KLM lost my bag en route from London! Thanks to Kirsty and all the others for all their help :)My only criticism is that despite the services on offer from the staff, this hostel is pretty far out from the centre of Nice, and it turned out to be a bit annoying to have to tram it back and forth all the time. I also found it way overpriced at €35 for an average shared dorm and not in the centre of it all, but it is Europe in the summer I guess.

Liked: they give you everything and more. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for fun people to meet, clean accommodation, lovely staff and good breakfast...therefore everyone!Theres a shuttle that picks you up from the tram stop literally 5 minutes from the station and goes all morning and night. The rooms are nice and clean, staff will bend over backwards for you, free towels and linen, a laundry service and great bar/restaurant downstairs with really good quality cheap food and drinks. Had the best time!

Liked: This place was so much fun- I really didn't want to leave! The facilities are great, and it's really cool to eat and drink in a converted chapel. The bar has a great atmosphere at night, and there were tons of cool, nice people to meet. It's a bit out of the way, but it was never a problem at all. The tram is really fast, cheap and easy to use, and the hostel picks you up from the tram stop at most hours of the day. Also, the guys working there are super sexy!
