Close to the port, bars, shopping, bus to the beach and the beautiful Notre Dame de la grade.
The location was amazing! Couldn't have asked for a better spot. And such a good price too!

Very helpful, friendly, staff. So central and easy to find. A minute from metro which makes it easy to explore provence region. Clean and spacious with tea/coffee facilities in room. Very comfortable beds. You do have to climb stairs to begin with before the lift but staff helped to carry up cases which was an unexpected and welcome surprise.
Kind and Helpful staffs. They also informed us about the good restaurents. Breakfast is also nice. Proper prices!

I lreally enjoyed my stay at Vertigo in Marseille. The are seems a bit rough, but it's a two minute walk to the main train station, it's close to the Old Port, and all the cool/fun spots in the city center. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the hostel was very clean. I would definetely stay there again if I'm in Marseille :)
Super close to the train station, really nice common area, crazy friendly and fun staff, a bar in the hostel which makes it easy to socialize and a really nice backyard to it too! Fully stocked kitchen. Quite central too and the staff is always there to let you know the easiest way to get anywhere. Rooms are secure and super clean and the toilet is separate from the shower which is super nice

The hotel is very close to the port of Marseille, and is very priseworthy. The staff were ready to give a 112 Euro room to us for half the price because we had booked a room online , but there was a complication with our credit card, and there were no 70 Euro rooms available when we arrived.
This property is only a 5 minute walk to the bay and restaurants. It also only a 2 minute walk to Estrangin Perfecture Metro train line. The rooms are large and air conditioned and the staff helped us on the first day we arrived in showing us where the best restaurants were and the beaches were located. Even though the property is located next to a busy street you can close the windows at night because of the air conditioning and not feel stuffy inside the room.

It's a really nice hotel in a side street of sin shopping street, just a few meters far from the port.. Really in the heart if the city.. We had a small but totally nice and clean room which has two tiny balconies to the street.. The receptionists helped us by every question..
The hotel is located near St Charles station, and is situated in the city area. So attractions are pretty much walkable. There are alot of convenience shops and cheap cafes nearby which is a plus point. The rooms are clean and pretty much like any 3 star rating hotel. I like that the rooms are decorated to give off a specific theme. Rooms are also spacious. Staff were pretty friendly, but not all of them are well-versed in english. Reception is 24hrs though, making things convenient for visitors. Also, there's free wifi! But during my stay, it was down for two days.. Other than that, everything else was good.

The atmosphere from the walk from the train station to the hotel isn't that great, but the hotel to the port is perfect... And the atmosphere of the hotel itself is really nice!
We stayed at this hotel for the second time already, so it was obviously good enough for us to come back. It's a basic, simple hotel (rather a hostel really) which gives you all you need for a comfortable, affordable stay. The staff is super friendly and very helpful at all times. An extra plus is that the reception is open 24/7. The hotel is located between Prefecture und Cours Julien, so it's really right where things are going on, nice bars and restaurants are just around the corner, so are shops. It's just a short stroll doen to the Vieux Port. The street itself is quiet, the view from the windows is magnificent (we were able to see Notre Dame de la Garde..). Rooms are cleaned every day and the hostel is really clean overall. Still, some of the facilities (bathrooms etc) are a little run down, which does not mean they're dirty. They're just not super new. Breakfast is cheap, but nothing special. The typical stuff you'd get in any youth hostel. You're definitely better off finding a nice cafe in the sun and settling there for some cafe au lait and pastries. Still, the breakfast option is good if you are in a hurry in the morning. Parking is 6 Euro per night, wich was okay for us, because it's actually really quite hard to find parking in the inner city.

Great room with a balcony which was a real bonus. The lift whilst very small is an added bonus.

Clean, fresh rooms and an excellent location. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Refredhkbg orange juice in tge garden upon arrival. They even allowed me to use their computer to sign up for veleco bike rentals when my cell phone kept timing out. Staff could speak basic English. I would certainly stay here again!
The hotel is near to city-center on the mail road, so its easily accessible to restaurants, bars etc. at night and even on holidays. The staff is very friendly and the place is really cozy and quite.

The receptionist was very kind, the place of the hotel is quite behind the station and in a perfect position
So, first off, DON'T GO TO MARSEILLE if you can possible avoid it. It was by far the smelliest and most frightening city we visited. But, if you do have to go there for some reason that you simply cannot avoid, this is a nice place to stay. The rooms were clean and HUGE. The staff was nice and helpful, and the breakfast was tasty (if quite overpriced). But, the best part about the place was that we got a HUGE discount for booking with HostelBookers. We paid like 30 euros a night per person, but the sign at reception and in our room said that the room usually rents for well over a hundred euros a night. So, thanks HostelBookers.
