Liked: Very near the train station but a slightly sketchy area of town. Nice facilities, delicious breakfast, clean bathrooms, good common area.

Liked: Nice atmosphere, friendly staff that all speak English. Bar and kitchen and cool lounge and back courtyard. Right near St Charles train station so it's easy to get to from the airport shuttle/train. A short walk from Vieux Port.

Liked: really nice rooms, but didnt get anything extra like free internet or breakfast. and there was no where to lock your stuff in your room

Liked: Hostel was nice and staff friendly but the walls were very thin so nights were quite noisy. Also the little streets around the hostel were not recommended when dark which made me feel a bit unsecure though I appreciated the staff taking care... All in all, I would still recommend Vertigo. There was nothing really special in the place but it was well worth the money.

Liked: This is a great hostel in which to stay. The staff were friendly and explained things to us. They also even offered to hold our bags in a locked room after we checked out. The first floor has a cool vibe and is decorated nicely. There's a little bar, a kitchen, a lounge area, and computers with internet that you can use for a small fee. The hostel was fully booked when I was here, and because of the lounge area, it was easy to meet/talk to people. The rooms were very clean as well. I was in a 4 bed room and they were spacious. It didn't feel like they tried to jam a many beds in the room as possible. The location is also pretty good. It's extremely close to the Gare Marseille St. Charles which was handy and it's walking distance to everything else worth seeing in Marseille. I definitely recommend this hostel to other travellers. It wasn't too pricey, and I had a good stay here.

Liked: It has everything you need for spending little money. Internet, commun kitchen and bar, it was silent, location is fantastic, only two minutes from station saint charles.

Liked: The hostel was definitly a home from home, with a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The location was perfect being so close to the bus, train and metro station. Beds were comfy, and the ensuite bathroom and shower were always very clean. Has a charming courtyard to chill in.

Liked: There is a window in the bathroom, which was clean and nice. I think it is the best shower room of which I experienced.Friendly staff, nice interior and furnitures, and luckily, lovely room mates.

Liked: It was a fun, clean hostel. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. They have laundry and a full kitchen. They also have a cafe with good deals on drinks. The staff is friendly. It is located right by the train station and about a 15min walk to the port.

Liked: They had a really nice kitchen and lounge room. I felt like being at home. Railwaystation was just around the corner and walking distance to harbour wasn't bad. Definately could go again.

Liked: Atmosphere - there was a France-Argentina football game on when I stayed at Vertigo, and aside from the actual night of the game (when the venue was empty; I'm not a soccer fan), it was a wonderful place to stay. Met some great people and enjoyed a few nights out with them.
