Liked: If you're looking to experience Provence in its real character, this may be a good place to stay. The B&B is a restructured old house in a small town some km away from Avignon. The host is really nice and available for advice on what to see around.
Disliked: Not very easy to reach of you don't have a car.

Liked: Martin was a fantastic host, even braving the rain to take us on a 45-minute walk through the woods to the Pont-du-Gard. He has a wealth of knowledge about all there is to see and do in the region and provided guidebooks, brochures, maps, and even bus schedules for all of the nearby sites. Be warned: traveling in this region is difficult without a car! We relied entirely on public transportation and it was challenging at times, since the buses run infrequently. However, we enjoyed our stay immensely. The room was comfortable, the free WiFi connection was fast and simple to use, and the breakfast Martin prepared each morning was lovely, including fresh fruit and pastries from the local bakery. Overall, not a single complaint!
Disliked: The location was a bit confusing at first--if you are taking a bus, definitely bring a map!

Liked: Martin and Monique were excellent hosts. They shared information about the town and area, including several dining options and fun activities for the day. The breakfast every morning was wonderful. We really enjoyed when Martin led our walk to the Pont du Gard. Our room was more than sufficient for our needs.
Disliked: We got back from a long walk in the mid-afternoon and couldn't get lunch anywhere in town because all of the stores were closed. Be aware of what hours/days the restaurants, bakery, and convenience store are open!

Liked: The most exquisite village - men were playing boulle in the square when we arrived - it's like walking into a postcard. And unlike other tourist centres, it's a geniune, living village. Martin and Monique are great hosts, from drinks in their leafy courtyard to a guided walk through the village to the Pont du Gard - this dramatic roman acqueduct takes your breath away. Beautifully catered breakfasts in our little shared kitchen, and bikes on hand for a ride to the ancient hilltop village of Castillon. Vers is not really 'on the map' but it's perfectly positioned as a base for sightseeing in Provence - from Avignon to Arles. we wished for more time.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: Beautiful setting, beautiful room. One of the nicest B&Bs I've ever been too, and not too expensive! Just a 30 minute walk from the impressive Pont du Gard; there are a couple of nice restaurants in the village; and just a short walk from the beautiful countryside.
Disliked: If you're looking for the energy and buzz of a city, or facilities such as computers and televisions, this place is not for you.

Liked: We are a family with 2 teenagers. We enjoyed the quiet village away from the tourist trail. Our host provided opportunities for walking, bike riding and information on what's on. A restful place to stay and sample the authentic french rural life.
Disliked: Lots of steps in this old building but it is part of the charm. Limited places to eat out. Having a car would make access easier but we managed without.

Liked: A 14th century beautifully restored house in a quaint rural village a stones throw from one of southern France's most famous and amazing landmarks the Pont Du Gard (the remains of a Roman aquiduct). Our host Jean Lois (filling in for the normal host Martin) was extremely helpful and welcoming and very kindly accompanied us on a walk to show us a special viewing area of the Pont Du Gard not known by the average tourist. Later we borrowed the guest-house bikes and returned to this spot to view the Pont Du Gard at sunset - just magic. The breakfast provided was superb and generous. The room was lovely - so much character. The service was very peronalised. Maison de Martin is fantastic value for money.
Disliked: Nothing at all..just make sure you receive a second email to get more accurate instructions of how to find the property as without this it is a bit tricky. Unfortunately our computer thought the 2nd email was spam so we never saw it. A phone call sorted the problem.

Liked: Martin and Monique were freindly and helpful. Martin took us on walks to historic sites we would not have necessarily found or gone on otherwise. We extended by another day...a dnt then another we were having such a lovely peaceful interesting stay. Entire village is stone and quaint, its small so pay attention to siesta times but this is a real French village experience to be savoured. Both hosts are bilingual which is very helpful too.
Disliked: we loved it all, we are thinking of coming back again and again

Liked: This was the most incredible place I have ever been. If you are planning on going to Avignon, stay here instead. About 45 minutes by bus from Avignon, the beautiful little town of Vers is charming and unforgettable. Martin and Monique are incredible hosts... This is much more than a bed and breakfast or a hostel, this is a dream vacation :)
Disliked: At first we were disappointed when we realized how far away from Avignon it really was, but this ended up being such a blessing in disguise. Wine tasting, bike riding, chatting with Martin and Monique in their beautiful, sunny courtyard while sharing a meal of fresh vegetables from their garden and fresh bread and spreads we bought at the market. Staying here will be an everlasting memory. Breakfast was BEYOND incredible.

Liked: Outstanding! Martin and Monique were ideal hosts. I couldn't have asked for a more rewarding and enjoyable time in Vers. They showed me around (Vers, Pont-du-Gard, Uzès, stone quarries), gave me ideas for places to visit/see, and were wonderful company. I booked there because it sounded too good to miss...and I look forward to returning.

Liked: This guesthouse was unique and very close to the Pont du Gard - a lovely scenic bike ride away. Martin was very helpful and welcoming. A bit different from most places I've stayed.
Disliked: There is no aircon and the room was stifling hot during the night, despite the fan and the windows being opened. We didn't mind at all, but the guesthouse is quite a long way from Avignon in a village called Vers.
