Liked: Nice clean hostel. Not the greatest location but it wasn't difficult to get to the city centre and the airport bus stop. Not a very warm and social atmosphere but the rooms were large and the facilities were good. Free sheets is always a plus in scandinavia. There is a dining room and tv area so maybe it wasn't very social because I was trvelling in off peak.

Liked: The rooms were spacious, toilets & bathrooms were clean.

Disliked: It is a little difficult to find and not the best location.

Liked: Some of the staff I dealt with were very friendly and helpful. Good bathroom facilities.

Disliked: While the location was reasonably central, it was very difficult to find as I arrived late at night and directions were not given as to how to reach the hostel from the bus stop - across a very large dark car park as it turned out! Not all staff were as knowledgeable as they appeared to be about matters such as public transport, and I wasted a lot of time after being misinformed.

Disliked: location, not so modern. like from the soviet era beside this , it´s all good.

Liked: Very nice hostel, it's already my 2nd time there. A bit away from the centre but very easy to get to by tram or bus. Staff is very helpful and friendly, the hostel is clean and cosy.

Disliked: Nothing to complain about, really :)

Liked: Cheapest place in Helsinki

Disliked: For a 'youth' hostel, in which I would expect the cliental to comprise mostly of 20-30 year olds, there were certainly a lot of old people and even a room full of (very loud!) young boys. This killed any atmosphere that may have existed otherwise. Also, the place was pretty expensive for what it offered.

Liked: Its clean and has good facilities: lounge, breakfast hall, free wifi, kitchen. It is a good place to stay to visit Helsinki but not a party hostel, though I was there in autumn so it may be different over summer. Lockers in the room were a bonus, and clean sheets and a towel are provided. It is easy to catch the tram into town (takes about 15 mins) so the distance is not too much of a problem.

Disliked: The girls showers on my floor were fairly old-school - 2 large cubicles with 2 shower-heads in each, so essentially 2 showers for a whole corridor of 12 bed dorms. Wasn't a problem for me as it was pretty empty while I was there, but if it was full this might be a problem.

Liked: Cheap for Helsinki, huge rooms & good, hot showers.

Disliked: The entry to the hostel felt like walking through a construction site & didn't feel safe when coming back late at night. It's a fair walk from the city centre though not unmanageable. The place really lacked atmosphere & was the most prison-like hostel I have stayed in.

Liked: Really clean, and kitchen really well equipped. Staff not so friendly, but helpful when I needed tram information etc. Toilets and showers really clean as well as bedding and towel provided. Rooms clean and comfortable, slept in a 10 bed dorm and it was really spacious. Large lockers available outside each dorm. Interesting location in the Olympic stadium!

Disliked: Some staff quite unpleasant. Quite far from the centre, but walkable and easy to get to by bus or tram.

Liked: Good hostel for poor travellers. The cheapest in Helsinki. Rather good to stay. Breakfast and WIFI connection in cafeteria! Clean toilets, common room, library, kitchen, laundry (public use).

Disliked: A bit noisy. People hanging around all night long.

Disliked: Smelly rooms. They pushed more people to the room than it should. They separated us to two separate rooms. Far from the centre.

Liked: cheapest place in helsinki. staff were helpful and friendly. I would and will stay there again.
