Liked: This is a pretty classic old-school hostel, with a cool location and good tram connections - it looks a long way out on the map but I didn't have any trouble getting into town and back. The beds are nice and the shower and kitchen facilities are both good.

Disliked: The 12-bed dorms were more than I would normally go for, preferring smaller rooms, but that wasn't much of a problem. The services on offer are relatively meagre and expensive.

Liked: The place is clean, with very good self-catering facilities. Free wifi, linen and towels.

Disliked: The direction is a bit misleading so it can be difficult to find the place. I guess they can draw a map and send it to guests before they come. You need to bring a padlock if you want to use the lockers, otherwise you will have to rent one.

Liked: Many common areas and well-facilitated kitchen. Two computers free to use with good speed.

Disliked: Slightly too far from the city centre for the money. Rooms are only ready at 3pm.

Liked: It's the cheapest place in Helsinki and so you can't really argue with that.

Disliked: The place felt like a nicely furbished prison.

Liked: The spacious kitchen.

Disliked: I didn't have a nice stay in the hostel. It's very far away from the city center. In the description they wrote "Aurora Hospital, is a 200 meter walk to our hostess" This is not true, as indicated in the trusts, it's 400 metter far away and you need to cross a park so you feel not safe, especially in the night. I reserved in March for August for me and my girl-friend and asked (also by mail) a mixed dorm. They say ok and when we arrived they put us in separated dorms. Theis replay was "This is Stadion"! We discuss the situation with the staff for finding a salutino and they were very unkindly. Unfortunately no otre choices available in Helsinki and we had to remain. We pretended something for the disturb and they put us only for a night in a private rum (we stayed in Helsinki 3 days). So, they insist on the separated dorms. But, my girlfriend had until 5 o clock of the night a group of pepole making louds with guys that stayed a lot of time in the room of the girl. The hostel is very big and uncontrolled. The common bathroom is not very clean and alzo the showers. When we move to the private room we round 3 beds and not 2! And the showers reserved to the privates rooms are common. No separation between the showers, only a common big area for a lot of people! No privacy! So, I don't understand why people have to reserve a double room and find another bed inside and also take the shower with other people inside!! The wifi connection is very slow, and doesn't reach the dorms/privates rooms. You can connect only in the lobby. So, I don't recommed this hostel, pretty expensive for the services and mostly for the location.

Liked: It was in a unique in that it was in the Olympic Stadium. The kitchen was well equipt and the common areas were clean and nice.

Disliked: The internet did not work and the wooden bunk beds were very creaky.

Liked: It has a big kitchen and everything is reasonably clean. It's close to the trams to the city centre. It has free use of internet.

Disliked: It's all a bit old and worn down. The matrasses were very thin. They don't organise stuff and the athmosphere wasn't that great.

Liked: Cleanliness! Also, the staff were amazingly helpful!

Disliked: It was a little confusing trying to find my way from the Finnair stop at the Opera House. Perhaps better signage around the bus stop would have helped...

Liked: Clean rooms, good breakfast for 5,70€, enough toilets and showers. Good connectios to the airport!

Disliked: No free lockers (it was possible to rent one in the hallway, or buy a lock for a small one in the room)

Liked: Nothing. Basically like living in a massive dorm. Staff was helpful.

Disliked: NO INTERNET!!! They say there is Internet, but so slow YOU CANNOT EVEN LOG ON TO GOOGLE, let alone book hostels, etc. Even on their desktop computers. Washrooms were average. Seemed very busy, so slightly dirty. Atmosphere is poor... Top big. Lots of weird looking people. Some really old people (40s to 60s). This place is OK for just a place to sleep.

Liked: Free computers, large kitchen and eating room. The tram goes quite close to the hostel, only a couple minutes walk from there. Beds are nice. Offers discount with ISIC card.

Disliked: Check in isn't until 4 pm but they offer a free (& secure) luggage room, so it's okay. Everything else was good. :)

Disliked: Can't think of anything. Maybe it would be nice to have less people per dorm room, but it wasn't a big issue.

Liked: i thought the hostel had reasonable facilites for everyone to use. The kitchen, tv room and eating area was large. The dorm was large and catered for the number of people (i believe it was 12 for dorm) in it. The security was good for the place.

Disliked: the distance from the town was a solid 20min walk and having said that when you go out to do things make sure you do the lot becuase it would be quite tiring walking back and forth to the hostel. There is a tram but i believe it is 2,50 euro for an hour ride.. The number of computers was 2 and i dont think this catered for the size of the place.
