Liked: It's just steps away from the tram line 4 which runs pretty frequently. You can get to the center in munites by foot or tram.

Liked: pretty good, but not enough kitchen equipment in common kitchen on 2nd floor - no electric teakettle to boil water, not enough cooking battery

Liked: Nice staff and well located. I found it more like a hotel woth shared rooms than a hostel (that can be good or bad, it depends) You have to pay 5 euros per day for the wireless internet

Liked: Its really a cheap hotel for people waiting for the ferry, and has a number of permanent students. Despite being non-smoking, the room and common areas stank of smoke. The kitchen was not clean, smelt, and had no washing liquid. You have to hire kitchen equipment, and there are only 10 sets for 150 rooms so don't expect to get any. They had no available fridge lockers on our floor. They were out of English language tourist info, and suggested that you go to the tourist info centre in the city with any questions. The students don't mix, and the ferry travelers don't talk to you, so don't expect to interact. Wi-fi costs.Look, if you only want a room while waiting for a ferry its ok, but if you want to have a fun time discovering Helsinki do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

Liked: Very nice and helpful staff. The room was functional. Nice toilets. Good cleanliness. The only negative thing was the equipment in the kitchen. Too few items, nothing to do coffee with. A good place to stay in Helsinki, near the Viking Line ships. I would gladly recommend the hostel.

Liked: Very, very friendly and knowledgeable staff at the reception, they helped us with numerous inquiries. Overall a very comfortable hostel, very clean, cozy and secure with the exception of the women's WC which at times was not as proper as expected, but still usable. Very recommended.

Liked: I loved this place! Maybe it's not the best if you are looking for a party kinda hostel, but it's extremely clean, comfortable, the staff is very helpful and the location is also good, even though it's a short walk to the very center. I paid for a dorm bed and stayed in a twin room, which is apparently what they mostly have there. And they also have a restaurant where you can have cheap pizza when you are staying there. I reccommend a lot!

Liked: The staff were brilliant. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from when we checked in to asking for more information on attractions in Helsinki. It is also a well equipped reception and things like being able to buy stamps and the Helsinki cards there was really useful. The bar and restaurant were nice additions as well- probably as reasonable price as you will get for food in Helsinki and it was very nice too! The location was good- easy to walk to all the main sights and easy to find from the airport. The showers were a bit strange- quite exposed but the rooms were good- comfy and basic with all that you need for a backpacker's stay. I would definitely recommend.
