Liked: a place on a magic island, very beautiful landscapenear to the stop of the boat to go on helsinkiclean and confortablethere is curtains in the room !!

Disliked: the price part of Finnish Youth Centre Association so a lot of children sometimes...

Liked: The room and the bathroom/toilet were very clean, very convenient location, so that, on the one hand, you are very close to the city center, and on the other, you are living in a very quiet and peaceful place.

Liked: The island is very picturesque and the hostel is just off the ferry from the main market (15 mins)

Disliked: Overpriced at €30, no internet access without own laptop, rubbish cooking facilities and tiny fridge. Also, if you arrive after 5 reception is closed and they ask you to contact them if you do. I emailed them to let them know, but only get a reply while im travelling. Then we get to hostel and it is closed with a sign saying we need a code and if we ring them to come out it costs €20. Eventually, by chance woman working there came out and we got in eventually.

Liked: It was an amaziing island very welcoming and clean. Easy to get to, with the help of the Helsinki Helpers. Just nice all around. There is also a nice well priced supermarket just down from the hostel on the island.

Disliked: The kitchen was a little small.

Liked: Hostel was nice and clean, staff very helpful. However had booked a 6 bed dorm, and was in an 8 bed. Didnt matter so much because it was quite, not really the place to meet ppl.

Liked: The area was really amazing, beautiful looking and safe feeling. We found the area really interesting we were never bored. It was really easy and quick to get into the main city.

Liked: The location was very nice. The kitchen was clean and it was very quiet.

Disliked: The toilets were not very clean and they stank.

Liked: A beautiful location within easy access of Helsinki center. Lots to see around and particularly at this time of year also swimming is possible on the island. Very comfortable bunks and good bed linen.

Disliked: I expected a little better common area in connection of the kitchen. More comfortable seating would have been nice, Also the self catering kitchen was only just passable..equipment was rather basic.

Liked: Perfect location - an island just 20 minutes by ferry from Helsinki! And Suomenlina is the UNESCO Heritage Site, well deserving the title. Maybe the hostel is not a perfect place for party people as it sitll takes some time to get to the city center but if you want a place to relax and see the city it is just perfect, especially that it is rather not a crowded place :)

Liked: I liked the location, nice and quiet, but I was'nt informed of the door code change before I arrived and that caused anxiety. Another factor was the large group of young teenagers arrived and were extremely noisy, I feel that I should have been informed of this. They could also have a couple of tables for use in the somewhat kitchen upstairs as it can get overcrowded.

Liked: Place and building are fabulous! The room where I slept was very nice. The staff is polite and careful. Cleanliness is better than other hostles. Last but not least, t's very easy to reach Suomenlinna Hostel. If you could have an individual light for every bed and some towels, it would be the perfect place to stay...
