Liked: I really like the atmosphere on the island, as well as the boat trip to the city center. It doesn't disturb much though it's on the island.

Disliked: Breakfast should be provided for free.

Liked: Serene location. No rowdy crowds. Clearly not a clubbing paradise. Friendly staff.

Disliked: Nothing. It is a bit out of the way though, being located on a n island. Ferries only traverse to Helsinki once an hour in the winter. You have been warned.

Liked: Clean and quiet. Suomenlinna Island is a nice place to visit. Even though it is a bit of a pain to have to catch the ferry to get there, it is not a bad trip and the ferries are reliable. Very close to the ferry terminal

Liked: Great hostel in a great location, great staff, clean, comfortable. Great with Wifi everywhere. I was looking for a quiet hostel, was not so interested in meeting other people, and this place truly served that purpose. If you are looking to meet people and party, this is not the hostel for you. I was there in January and on some nights felt like the only person there. Ferry-ride right to the center of Helsinki takes 15 minutes, was a great experience every morning to go through the iced sea towards Helsinki center.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The Hostel is situated in an island thats both beautiful and interesting, and I'm sure its even better when its not buried under 2 meters of finnish snow. Obviously the best time to go there is summer, but if you just want a place to sleep and don't mind that there might not be lots of people on low season, this is your place.

Disliked: The Hostel itself was quite quiet and lonesome, but it was probably due to the fact its low season. Other than that, it was really nice.

Liked: We really loved the place and calmness so close to Helsinki. But the Kitchenette was really small. if there would have been more people, it would have been a problem to cook, since there were only two pots and a few plates. We didn't really meet other people, because we were the only ones staying there. But that's also part of the carm of the plcae. We would definitly recommend this to other people. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The kitchen was too small.

Liked: Located 15 minutes from Helsinki. The ferry is every 15 minutes, very easy to access, every season of the year. Very clean and the staff is very helpful!

Disliked: Unfortunatelly, we were the only guests of the Hostel during our stay in November.

Liked: Great location, friendly staff, very quite place

Disliked: It was not easy to buy a ticket for a ferry to the Suomenlinna. There is no clerk at the ticket office and you have to buy a ticket at the automat with only coins o card with the chip.

Liked: The hostel was warm but thats about it!

Disliked: We fnd out after we booked that the staff where only there from 8.30 to 4.30. in the two nights we stayed we didnt see a single member of staff due to our timetable! The 'kitchen' has two bowls no mugs and some cutlery the microwave is so old that to heat something in a normal microwave would instead of taking 2 mins take about 6 atleast. no real area for meeting people due to the layout, just really unfriendly atmosphere. IF YOU WANT TO PARTY THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! the other people in our dorm where in bed by 9pm (and this seems same for rest of the rooms aswell)

Liked: Located on the beautiful island of Suomenlinna, an UNESCO world heritage Site. Frequent ferry connections to Helsinki City Center till 2am or so and the ride takes ca. 15 minutes. It's fun and I would definitely stay there again.

Disliked: Maik left no negative feedback.

Liked: Location on the island is straight off the ferry, can leave one minute before the ferry is due to depart and still make it on time. The hostel itself is clean enough, and warm as well.

Disliked: Booked for a six bed dorm and were given a 10 bed, complained about this and got moved to an 8 bed. A bit cheeky given the place was deserted! When asking about what there was to do in Helsinki the woman on reception acted like she'd never been there and said we could go to a sauna. I'm not asking for a personal guide but a little information might've been forthcoming! The 2EUR for a locker as a charge rather than a deposit smacked as penny pinching. The kitchen is very poor equipped also. Against all that, it's very clean, we absolutely loved staying on the island, getting the first ferry at 6am to the city was deserted and absolutey beautiful.

Liked: Everything was generally fine.

Disliked: There was a terribly noisy barking down across the hall from our room. Staff knew and let the dog stay, it was horrendous ALL NIGHT LONG!

Liked: Suomenlinna Island is a unique location, very quiet and relaxing and Helsinki city centre is still easily reachable by ferry.

Disliked: The few restaurants on the island close quite early. Luckily there was a little supermarket open until 9 pm. The rooms were a bit too basic with nothing to hang towels or clothes. The atmosphere in the common room was a bit cold.
