It was quiet with a good communal kitchen. The rooms are tidy and warm. It is also the only place to stay on Suomenlinna we found, so it's good they keep their prices so reasonable. Not a place for a party though - sound carries and the overall atmosphere is pretty monastic.

Worth a night stayover as you visit the fortress, although a basic hostel, beds a small kitchen and a meeting room.

Excellent hostel. Great location. And it is very clear that it is on an island. Just try and find it on a map (like you should do when booking any hostel) and you see that it is the middle of the sea. This is excellent, however, as Suomenlinna is a great place to visit and explore.

Great location on the island but it wasn't really obvious in all the text that it was on an island and you had to take a seperate boat to get to it.

Suomelinna is fantastic but there is no life during the night. You should reach Helsinki for having fun but the last boat from Helsinki to the island is at 2:20 AM.

I think it was quite freindly for meeting people (it's a small hostel so everyone is more friendly). Suomenlinna Island is very pretty but getting the ferry there and back is not for everybody

The location is unbeatable if you want to stay on Suomenlinna. Only 15 minutes by ferry from market square, you can have a nice evening walk by the sea.

the location on Suemonlinna Island was fantastic, I little in convenient if you want a late night out on the town, but still good.
