Liked: I met nice people there. This is a big dinner room with large tables and you can stay there with other people. They have also one computer with internet.

Disliked: It's situated in a famous ireland. If you search pace you will find, but if you're turist and want to visit Helsinki is a problem because the only way for to arrive there is by boat and it costs 6,5€ go and go back.

Disliked: the door of the room was not in good conditions so that we made a lot of noise opening and closing and we had to make a big effort to do it

Liked: The location on Suomenlinna is fantastic!

Disliked: Everything (besides the location) is quite basic. The kitchen was a bit shabby.

Liked: Lovely location with the great boat right to the island, which itself is an interesting place to be. It represents a satisfactory cheaper option in an expensive area Facilities were bland but quite adequate with the rooms reasonably spacious for larger dormitory situation. Could be less engaging if a large group were in residence

Disliked: Definitely need to book ahead as turning up at the door after reception has closed would be problematic

Liked: it was great to have access to the internet accept theres only one computer, so you have to wait for it.. its great hostel if you want some peace and quiet, although its so quiet sometimes its actually a bit spooky.. the ferry to and fro helsinki is also very regular so that wasnt a poblem, and overall the place was clean..

Disliked: the hostel reception is only open for a few hours.. and often you get there within those hours and theres no one there to help you.. the girl at the front desk is also not very friendly or helpful in giving information.. also you need a big padlock to lock your locker - which i only had a small one..

Liked: Very quiet place, nice to have a rest after several hours of walking in the city. Free access to the PC with printer - very useful if you haven't got any devices with you.

Disliked: The breakfast was - well, a little bit too modest.

Liked: very clean and cozy hostel. Helpful staff.

Disliked: Only 1 staff working during office hour. I rang the bell and waited for a few minutes, but he could not hear it as he was working at the back. Fortunately, someone came out from the buidling and let me in

Liked: It is situated in the best place to be in Helsinki on the most beautiful and also very touristic island of Suomenlinna Sveaborg. In summer one can sit all night on the rocks and watch the ships go in and out of the harbour.

Disliked: nothing to dislike

Liked: Excellent location for a mellow night, fun to ride the ferry in and out and to explore the island after dinner once most of the throngs of tourists have headed back to the mainland. Big cafeteria area, free internet.

Disliked: Bring earlplugs! The room doors, echo-y hallway, and very squeaky bunk beds made it hard to get a solid night's sleep. Also, the 6-bed dorm we were in housed both men and women, which was a surprise to me. Looking back on their site, it doesn't say anything about this either way, so not deceptive on their part, just know to expect that.

Liked: Beautiful location and very good ferry connection with Helsinki market place

Disliked: the place is grey and lacks a nice atmosphere, even during the sunny days we were there

Liked: In the Summer, the island is very nice. There is free wireless internet and free internet PC.

Disliked: The bunk beds are very creaky, constantly making noise and thus difficult to sleep for some. There are only staff during the day.

Liked: The hostel was very clean and had everything you would want from a hostel.

Disliked: The hostel office wasn't open for many hours during the day and it was a ferry ride to the island where the hostel was.

Liked: It's the only or one of the only hostels on Suomenlinna ;) but I like it that it's a half a minute to the minimart, and the row of shops & eating places that front the 'terminal'. It's also a minute away from the ferry pick-up point and a great place as a starting point to explore the island (:

Disliked: Spooky!

Liked: The hostel is very good connect to the city by ferry boat (only 15 min) and many departures each hour. From the peer to the hostel it's just 50meter behind the first building. Very nice location and noise due to traffic as there are hardly any cars on the island. Extremely friendly staff!!

Disliked: Cleanliness could be improved (cleaning toilets more than one time a day)!
