Liked: Great little self-contained apartment in the centre of town - near a supermarket so you could cook for yourself, near plenty of pubs and restaurants, and near the railway station and ferry terminals, as well as town centre. Spotlessly clean, quiet, a great alternative to a boring hotel room, you feel like you're really 'living' in Helsinki!

Disliked: It's not really a fun place to meet people, but it's not really that kind of place.

Liked: it's good to share the room with 3 people.

Disliked: It's not big issue, but No elevator for the 3rd flower unfortunately. On the other side, next door rooms have a elevator. it's just lucky or unluckily you would be given.

Liked: This downtown appartment provided us with a great base from which we could explore the city. It was close to the sites, shops and plenty of restaurants. The cozy space felt like home whilst we were in Helsinki and I almost felt like a local.The appartment was comfortable and clean. The staff at Travellers Home were friendly, helpful and easy to contact.

Disliked: No faults to mention.

Liked: Renting an apartment is a kitchen is a great way to visit a city and act like you live there. Great idea and the location and staff made it great for our trip to Helsinki.

Disliked: For a kitchen with utensils, I thought they would also have more basic spices so that we could cook.

Liked: It was great having the facilities to cook for ourselves and being right in the centre of helsinki meant it was easy to get to the sights and the port.

Disliked: Property was on the third floor with no lift, which was difficult with a two year old and a pram.

Liked: Close to the center of town. Clean.

Disliked: The check in!! Check in time is around 3 to 6 pm or so if i remember correctly. The reception is closed before and after. Not practical if you are travelling with a backpack or suitcase because you need to carry it around instead of dropping it. The apartments are far from the reception and all over town.

Liked: This was an apartment so is different from a hostel. It was a separate unit on its own. The owner was simply marvellous, cheerful, helpful and making sure I had everything for my comfort. The aparment was spotless with every facility i could possible need.It was super accommodation for me and a pity I could only stay one night.

Liked: quite light flat, almost everything was ok, good location, free internet, markets are very close but when we left the flat another couple came there and any staff hadn't come before to change and clean the flat...

Liked: we have been rebooked into another hotel close to the airport which was unfortunately nowhere close to our expected accommodation. we had a lot of extra costs for transfers. i understand that there was a water leak in our original apartment but the hotel was (because of its location) not an adequate compensation.

Liked: This was a pretty good deal esp for Helsinki where all the hostels seem to be around the €30 mark too. The apartment was in a residential building in the middle of town, felt very safe. We had a three bed place, which was a studio with three trundle beds in the middle of the floor. Not a lot of space but enough to get by for a few days. It was well equipped for cooking and the supermarket just around the corner kept us fed on a budget. There was a computer with free internet, a dining table and a good shower. Downsides - the bathroom door almost locked us in a few times, and the front element (of two) on the stove was broken.
