Bures are very basic and not always of a clean standard and management have lacked customer care in recent years. However, new management in 2007 have improved the standards making this a good choice for backpackers but still not to the standards of budget travellers.
Accommodation is in traditional thatch bures with very basic private bathrooms (cold water shower and flush toilet but no hand basin or proper taps). The dormitory has twelve single beds in a wooden lodge and has basic communal bathrooms at the back.
The restaurant serves a set meal plan in the high roof thatch bure with sand floor, ensuring an intimate experience to fit in with the resorts image. Weekly theme dinners include a sunset dinner on the beach and a traditional Fijian lovo night with dancing.
Night entertainment and activities are arranged at dinner and include guided hiking around the stunning mountains, snorkelling to the outer reef, night snorkelling (you eat what you catch - lobster, crabs etc), hand line fishing, round island boat trips and a visit to stunning Natawa Village.
