South Seas Private Hotel is a very popular budget hotel among independent travelers looking for clean, basic accommodation at low prices. Located in an historic wooden building in a quiet residential area close to the shopping district, the South Seas Private Hotel "really conveys the flavor in its name." (David Stanley, Fiji Handbook, Moon Publications, 2004)
" ... A friendly, well maintained backpackers’ place, deservedly a perennial favorite."(Rob Kay, Fiji Travel Survival Kit, Lonely Planet, 1993).
" ... A good option for the budget traveler." (Jones & Pinheiro, Fiji, Lonely Planet, 2000).

South Seas is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from the heart of Suva city.

We offer 42 single, twin/double, family and dormitory (4-5 beds) rooms, many with polished wooden floors, and all with fans, insect screens, bed linen and maid service. All rooms have communal (shared) bathrooms. If you are an independent traveler looking for a real "South Pacific" atmosphere, reminiscent of the days when travel meant adventure rather than a package tour, then South Seas may be just right for you.
