Liked: We stayed in the 'deluxe' rooms which turned out not to have electricity between 8am-5pm which was a bit annoying for midday heat... however the beach is a 2 mins walk, right where the main hostel bit is and in the mornings the sea is BEAUTIFUL! There's no jellyfish or anything... Ratu is great for scuba diving but im not too interested in that and the hostel offers a great variety of activities such as fishing, island hopping and themed nights! beware of lots of mozzies though!!also there is no independant shop/supermarket on the island so have to buy everything from the hostel however it's not too expensive. drinking is a little though

Liked: Ratu Kini was the backpacker place to be on Mana Island, people from other places also came to their bar for night entertainment. It was good fun and relaxed but the room wasn't that good, was a bit rough. I stayed in a 6-person bungalow. You couldn't even lock the door of the bungalow so I didn't feel very safe. All valuables were to be left to reception, there were no lockers. Bathroom and toilet were in the bungalow, they worked but were very dirty. Food at Ratu Kini was not that good either. But it was a fun place for nightlife and meeting other backpackers. Just don't expect too much from the facilities.
