Liked: good location (close to a few great cheap eats/bars), the 'sister' hostel has a nice kitchen (for breakfast/hanging out). very spacious dorms!

Disliked: staff is not too friendly and/or knowledgable about the city. also you dont get a key to the hostel (your dorm doesnt lock at all) you have to ring the door always. often means you have to wait for someone from the other hostel to come over to open the door. no lockers.

Liked: The price and it's location in Old Town made it a steal of a deal. Seriously, if you're looking to spend a considerable amount of time in Old Town, this is perfect location. It's also not to far from tram and bus stops that will take you or drop you off from the airport and the bus station.

Disliked: Not enough showers, but it's fine as long as you anticipate and plan to shower at non-peak hours.

Liked: Great location and prices. Dorms and toilets were clean and staff was quite helpful on the whole

Disliked: Not too much security, no room keys so anyone is free to enter anywhere they like. Still though, environment felt quite safe really. No wireless internet in rooms

Liked: It was a nice clean place with an excellent central location.

Disliked: The quiet and unlively atmosphere gave an institution-like feel and some of the staff did not appear too friendly.

Liked: The concept of re-using an old schoolroom is interesting. Toilets, bathrooms and beds are clean. Rooms and dormitories are spacious, something that is rare for dormitories.

Disliked: Difficult to find reception when returning to the hostel, though there is usually somebody at night. No lockers whatsover, though it generally felt safe. The kitchen felt huge and abandoned actually. Breakfast is steep, at 4 euros, considering it didnt have much though I see the old lady cooking porridge one day and pancakes the next.

Liked: It was clean and in the old town. The lady at reception in the other building/hostel was friendly. You can use wifi in the other building.

Disliked: The only reasons to stay here would be 1. Everywhere else is full (which was my reason) and 2. You don't want to meet anyone. The beds are shoulder width, there is absolutely no atmosphere and basically no security. There is a guy at night to let you in but it can take 10 minutes for him to answer the door. During the day you have to go to another hostel a few doors down to get a key. Inside there are no lockers or anywhere that you can store valuables. 12 euro seems to be pretty expensive given the lack of facilities, atmosphere and helpful staff. I paid the same elsewhere and got a lot more for my money. Last resort kind of place, and as they are only open for a few months a year (a school the rest of the time) reviews and ratings probably don't mean much to them.

Liked: Location. Really cannot recall noticing promotion of HostelBookers at any of the hostels - but that is not to say they may not have been doing so!

Liked: Perfect location in the Old Town, next to Viru st. and all the interesting sites in Tallinn. You have a big and cheap supermaket (Rimi) quite close.Beds are comfy and rooms are quite clean.Bathroom is ok and there is always toilet paper ;D

Disliked: No security at all. Rooms have no key. No lockers. Everybody can go inside the hostel and in your room. The staff in the reception are everything but receptionists! They are never at the reception! and as you don't have any key and you have to ring the bell, you need them everytime you arrive at the hostel. BUT, as they are never in the reception you can die ringing without an answer. Bad, bad, bad thing.

Liked: Its nicely located in the old town, and its cheap, but the staff are absolutely clueless about Tallinn, the hostel is actually 3 hostels with ONE reception, and the "night receptionist" here is either very ignorant or non existant, but you need one to actually get into the building as they dont give you keys, and the rooms dont lock either and the luggage store is an alcove in the main hostel...not a great place in the slightest, but cant argue with its cleanliness and price

Liked: Location is quite close to the old town, and the harbour.

Disliked: no air conditioner inside the room, so in summer time it might be problematic for people.

Liked: It was a place to sleep, for cheap. And it was relatively clean.

Disliked: Constantly having to go to a different hostel for them to let me in - they don't give out keys. This wasn't always a problem, but it was for the roughly 30 minutes I waited at Midnight for someone to show up./

Liked: it is within Old Town, very convenient.

Disliked: no toilet paper, access to the 8-bed dorm require the reception staff to open the gate, and they dont seem to happy about it.
