Liked: First, the location is great. It is quite close to the attractions. The building itself has quite a bit of history, but it's renovated well and the atmosphere is just amazing. The typical facilities (kitchen, etc) are all great as well. I was at first interested because of the price, but then it really suprised me with the quality.

Disliked: I honestly can't think of anything.

Liked: beautifully renovated and the all the location is just great. its like a little museum in the hostel

Disliked: i stayed in the shared room which only provide one shared bathroom with other 10 people

Liked: This is easily the most luxurious hostel I've ever stayed in! It's in an old Georgian house on three floors, and is tastlefully decorated, has real character and is spotless! The staff were friendly, the breakfast was generous and free (although make it earl as everything starts getting cleared away around 9:30am!) and the location could not be better. Would recommend this hostel to anyone :-)

Liked: Good price for a good location

Disliked: Other guests were very noisy and the bed was kind of gross. I didnt get much sleep because of how noisy it all was.

Liked: The cleanest hostel I've ever been to. Very spacious rooms, facilities, and bathrooms, a very comfortable stay overall.

Disliked: Slim breakfast pickings :) but it was free with the stay, so no huge complaints!

Liked: It's a wonderful place to stay , It's a top hostel a five star one.The building is superb abd the staff very kind and helpful, Brian , Liam and the rest of the staff are one of a kind. I highly recommend this hostel.

Liked: I really like the location and facilities but the bathroom is way to small

Liked: Lovely big rooms with comfortable beds and thick blankets. Really lovely atmosphere and beautiful rooms and stairs. Loved the TV/Games room and couches. Good place for meeting fellow travellers. Staff were lovely and really helpful.

Disliked: Location was a bit of a walk to the centre of town, bathrooms smelled of pee and the fact that it's an 'ensuite' (about the size of a shoebox) meant that the smell reached the room. Tiny tiny bathroom and dodgy showers but at least there were better and bigger bathrooms on the other floors. Wifi wouldnt work anywhere else than in reception/some places on the first floor.

Liked: Great hostel with nice clean rooms and in a great location. Basement and games room are amazing along with the movie night room. Staff were nice, helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Nothing, could have been a bit more atmosphere with a few more people but this is no fault of the hostel itself.

Liked: Ace York is absolutely beautiful and very easy to get to, even on a first trip to York. The room was spotless when I moved in, the breakfast was much more than just toast and the beds were very comfortable. Apparently there are nightly movie screenings.

Disliked: I think you had to create an account to use their internet and everyone kept very much to themselves. It would have been nice of the staff to offer more information about the area but I managed to figure everything out on my own.

Liked: Was close to city center and rail/bus station. Had a great atmosphere, rooms were secure and well kept.

Disliked: Lots of stairs, ensuits on rooms were small, closed in and gave the feeling of being in a plane or bus toilet

Liked: The place is very nice, in an old building with nice new rooms and everything is clean. One of the nicest hostels I have stayed in. Staff were super friendly as well.

Disliked: wasn't incredibly social but I was only there for one night so I can't really comment.
