Liked: It's in a beautiful area; it has everything that one would want in a hostel; it has a really good feeling about it. I was so grateful to go to it after the last hostel I had been at.

Disliked: It's not wildly convenient, but it's really not a bad walk at all--and there is a bus if your luggage is too heavy--though the bus doesn't go too late.

Liked: A clean hostel with very helpful staff, breakfast was extra but quite good.

Disliked: Location wasn't the greatest and buses stopped running at around 8pm but a cab was only about 6.50 gbp so with 3 people its cheaper than the bus.

Liked: It was on a beautiful grounds, and it was very clean. John was awkward and hilarious.

Disliked: I paid for 24 hours of internet service, but was not told that I would be kicked out of the lounge, the only place that I could get service, at 11 pm. It was very difficult to talk to my family overseas, and a big waste of my money. The website also doesn't tell you how far away from Stratford Upon Avon it is, my friend and I ended up walking aimlessly for 40 minutes before we could find it, carrying huge, heavy rucksacks. If we had known it was in a different town, we would have taken the bus and it would have been fine.

Liked: Location just outside Staratford, spacious rooms, bar, restaurant, breakfast excellent value at £4.95, good facilities, lovely setting, warm (it was snowing when I arrived)

Disliked: showers very difficult to turn on. Instructions re the knack to turn them on would be useful.

Liked: It was great to be able to book a private room for our group and know that we were the only ones to have access to that room and the ensuite shower room. The breakfast in the morning was really good: a selection of fresh fruits, cereals, muesli, toast and jams, as well as a variety of cooked breakfast items (including vegeterian sausages), fruit juices, tea and coffee. For £5 we were really impressed with the buffet!

Disliked: Hazel left no negative feedback.

Liked: Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Price was very reasonable for the location.

Disliked: Humming noise in room 7 boys dorm meant that I didn't sleep particularly well. Also beds made really loud creaking noises when turning over.

Liked: Nice building, good facilities, lots of space in rooms and communal spaces.

Disliked: Nothing, is a little way out of town but this is well described during booking.

Liked: Really friendly and helpful staff. Very welcoming on arrival and helpful if we had any questions. The house is set in a beautiful garden and everything was clean, well presented and just what you'd expect from a YHA

Disliked: The doors between the rooms slam very, very easily!!! This meant that we woken up by some very inconsiderate people at 6.30 in the morning!! Also the floors are quite thin so when people are walking above the rooms it's like a load of elephants!! People just need to stop the doors slamming (very easily done by just holding hand on doors as they close) and be more considerate when walking around. We tried hard to be.

Liked: they had a tv lounge (although you could only watch BBC 1), there was a secure bike shed and they had a car parking lot

Disliked: it was 2 miles from stratford city centre, but the staff do give you a bus schedule; not 24 hours reception; breakfast was a bit pricey

Disliked: location, it's not proper to backpackers. too far cannot get the bus to/from stratford-upon-avon after 8pm or weekend morning. by walk more than 45min in dark

Liked: Location

Disliked: The rooms on this site are presented as double rooms for 2 people, but in reality we had to sleep in a 8 bed room. We didn't like it at all, the description was not honest of the hostel.

Liked: staff was just perfectly helpful and very kind! the house itself is very nice and the room was cute and very cosy for a dorm.

Disliked: the location is not very practical, being outside of town. i arrived in stratford-upon-avon in the evening of a bank holiday so there were no buses running anymore. however, the hostel provides bus schedules once you get there which i learned is not a too usel thing for hostels to do...

Liked: I did enjoy that it had a yard and was away from the city, that there weren't a lot of people around and that it was relatively quite.

Disliked: I didn't like that it was about 2 miles out of town, that you had to pay for pretty much everything, as if it wasn't already costly.

Liked: Easy to get to by car and by bus (we did both on 2 separate occasions). The kitchen was great and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. A wonderful hostel in a beautiful setting. Loved it and went back, this wa our 2nd visit.

Disliked: The wireless was a terrible price, but we found this was common in many hostels in the UK, sadly. Too bad the price goes up every night there is a play in Stratford even on weekdays. Penalizes those who aren't attending.

Liked: This property was quite cheap and the breakfast was awesome.

Disliked: It's a couple of miles out of the town which wasn't hugely convenient although a taxi was cheap enough with 3 of us and there are buses. We also got to go for a walk in the country. The beds and door to our room were incredibly squeaky so everytime someone moved we woke up.

Liked: YHA hostel has a reputation. Generally, I was satisfied with the hostel itself. I felt comfortable living inside. The room is spacious and the staff are nice. But the downfall is that it is too far away from city centre. The hostel itself is actually located out of Stratford-upon-avon. There are only one bus going pass the hostel serving at several hours each. So, I need to take a taxi to there.

Disliked: Chun Hei left no negative feedback.
